Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy pale yellow color with a huge foamy white head that lingered and left some lacing. The aroma was tart citrus and chalk. The flavor was tart, dry and chalky with faint lemon. Medium finish. Light body. Uninspired. bpar73 (1199) - Bellaire, Michigan, USA - SEP 30, 2012
UPDATED: NOV 11, 2012 Pours cloudy light gold with a thin head. Dominant lemon aroma. Taste was strongly lemon with malt and hops. Decent enough shandy, I prefer Leinies’ but this one will do. tnkw01 (1854) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - SEP 26, 2012
Bottle. Cloudy light brown. Too sweet. Beer with lemon kool-aid. Aroma is light citrus. dekester1 (371) - Town of Maple Creek, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 25, 2012
Poured a cloudy yellow-gold with a light head that faded away rather quickly. Aroma was of lemon, malt and a general light fruitiness. Taste was dominated by lemon with malt backbone and a mild hop finish. Palate was OK. Overall, an average shandy but still drinkable. Heathen (1500) - Wilmington, Delaware, USA - SEP 22, 2012
THOUGHTS: Like a wit beer and a shandy had a baby. Sort of like lemon and lemon peel were used to brew a wit instead of orange peel. It had a lot more flavor than I remember Leinenkugel Summer Shandy having. Just a great summer refresher.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a very cloudy, medium to dark, muddy yellow with an average, ever so slightly off-white head that mostly diminished. The aroma had light to moderate wheat; moderate yeast; lemon and lemonade. The initial flavor was slightly sweet and light to moderately acidic; while the finish was slight to lightly sweet, moderately acidic and slightly bitter. There was lemon, lemonade, wheat, yeast and a little orange. The nearly medium body was fairly dry with fizzy carbonation and a dry and lightly astringent finish.

12 oz bottle. Hey I got this "summer beer " in mid September on clearance for $9.99 a case - so I am not complaining!
12 oz bottle.
Pours a cloudy light golden with a quickly diminishing white head. Barely there aroma with some mown grass notes, just a brief hint of lemon., slightly tangy. Flavor is very subdued. Faint traces of watered down lemonade, a hint of yeast, not much else. Mouthfeel is leaning to the thin side. Can be very refreshing if served ice cold.
I see where some here are hating on this beer, but for a "mass produced Shandy- this is not bad. A lot of the ladies will like this.
Not a hand crafted "throwback" English Shandy by any means.

How could I have missed this in the past? Is it new? From a bottle, looks better than expected. Some sediment on bottom of bottle. Smell is somewhat musty. Looks like cloudy lemonade. Some artificial flavor int he background. Decent fine sharp fizz. Does not show much alky. Fer sure it is some sort of lemony thing happening. Somewhat dull finish. OK, so I smell a little more lemon in there now. Not bad but not nearly as good as that curious traveler I just had a few minutes ago. heemer77 (5361) - Urbandale, Iowa, USA - SEP 11, 2012
Bottle. Hazy medium gold with a pillowy bright white head. The nose smells like cheap lemon candy, artificial. There is also some hint of soap. The taste is fairly sweet. It’s like mixing the regular meh shock top wit with a cheap lemonade. Wow, pretty much exactly what you would expect. Not too bad and the sweetness is tempered after a few drinks. A bland cardboard finish. dwodell (3) - Maryland Heights, Missouri, USA - SEP 3, 2012 does not count
Terrible! Taste like dish soap. Smells like dish soap. Maybe we can use it to wash dishes instead. NeoHippie2 (1074) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - SEP 3, 2012
UPDATED: NOV 30, 2012 Not bad but not great. Wheat beer with fake lemon flavor. That pretty much sums it up. Decent on a hot day. Nothing to write home about.
