Appearance: Pours out a hazed, pale yellow body with a tall, meringue-like head, though it drops down very fast.
Smell: Artificially-flavored lemonade powder, faint spice, and just enough of a hint of beery barley to remind you this is, indeed, an adult beverage.
Taste: Lightly malty with a faint store-brand honey-flavored cereal sweetness. Given a teeny tiny pinch of ground coriander, though the accumulative lemon flavoring eventually overshadows it. It’s lemony and a little bit tart, but not overly so, and, well, that’s kind of how things go until the faintly fizzly finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium-plus carbonation.
Overall: Shock Top dared to take Blue Moon head-on, then, they showed up what seasonal pumpkin and fruit beers can REALLY be, and, now, Shock Top is flexin’ their summertime shandy muscles. It’s a bit sad, really.
Bottle @ home. Cloudy, banana yellow appearance with a disappearing white head. Bready, lemonade, a bit spicy, wheat malty aroma. Somewhat refreshing, Radler-like, lemonade, sweet wheat, a little spicy flavor. I guess if it was a really hot day I could see myself chugging a couple of these but not otherwise. Not that worthwhile overall. blutt59 (6576) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JUL 22, 2013
Bottled, yellow color with no head, spritzy lemon lime flavor and aroma, thin bodied finish Butters (4063) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - APR 13, 2014
Honestly, not As bad as I thought I would be. A little sweet and And slightly lemonsolly. Aroma is pleasant fake lemons but flavor is not as pleasing. Could have been much worse. AgentAle (1806) - Alberta, CANADA - MAY 20, 2014
Aroma is sweet grains and citrus. Taste is much the same. Some straw and lightly roasted malts. The lemon juice does dominate most the experience however. The body is a cloudy gold with a thin pearl head that retains fairly poorly.

Clear hazy yellow. Small white ring head. Funky dirty aroma of earthy malt amd lemon. Lots of.lemon and.sugar flavor with cereal malt fighting through the background. Bulk_Carrier (6065) - Vermont, USA - MAY 31, 2014
Reviewed from notes.
I poured this into a pint glass.
The appearance was a fairly yellow transparency that looked like someone squeezed a lemon in it. Carbonated bubbles rose rapidly and filled a one finger white foamy head that rapidly dissipated.
The smell, well, it was definitely lemon, I’ll tell ya that. However, was it authentic? I really don’t know.
The taste was bitter lemon in it, but I didn’t get any spices in it. The aftertaste was bitter lemon and a super watery finish.
On the palate, it sat fairly light and showed a decent sessionable quality about it. The carbonation was decent for a fruit beer and not bad to me.
Overall, I say this wasn’t a bad fruit beer, but not one I’d want again. TheRatKing (122) - Alberta, CANADA - JUN 30, 2014
From a can into a chalice. Pours a cloudy gold colour, which I approve of in a wheat beer. No head, though. Aroma is weak (due to lack of head,) but has a slight sweet and zesty note. Flavour is actually not bad at all. Has that white beer richness and spice with a hint of lemon to it. Actually rather good. I wouldn’t compare it to Hoegaarden in terms of wheat beer, but it is rather flavourful and suitable for a hot day. Ericular (1035) - Minnesota, USA - JUL 7, 2014
I preferred this one to the Summer Shandy next to it. It has more wheat beer flavor and less stale lemonade. Still, the lemon flavoring is pretty sub-standard, and therefore it’s not a beer I’d ever ask for. kdm1984 (814) - Missouri, USA - MAY 30, 2015
Not much aroma. Light lemon flavor. Some bread. Very mild. Fairly refreshing. On tap at Deckers in Joplin.
