Doftar parfymerat apelsinvatten, och smakar ungefär likadant. Väldigt tunn och intetsägande. Att den får gå under namnet IPA borde rendera någon böter. heemer77 (5358) - Urbandale, Iowa, USA - FEB 5, 2012
I felt like we had a chance to get a decent IPA from one of the big boys. The body is a light copper amber brew with a long lasting off white head. The nose is sweet and fruity with lemons, soap and a hint of coriander. The taste is sweet up front with a bread like finish. Not a whole lot going on. Just a slight hint of lemon peels and coriander spice. How is this an IPA? At best, it is a wit with just a tiny bit more malt body and a little hint of caramel. Sugary sweet in the aftertaste. I don’t really find much in the way of hops. Calling this an IPA is a scam, but it worked on me....once. scooterbub (1067) - Lander, Wyoming, USA - FEB 4, 2012
12 ounce bottle. Pours a hazy golden-amber with a nice, fluffy, white head that slowly collapses. Taste is of malt, caramel, wheat, citrus, pine, grapefruit and some hops. Similar, but lighter aroma. Has a decent body. The finish has a slight bitterness and dryness to it. Good, but not quite as a good as the other Shock Top beers. demitriustown (1192) - Sterling Heights, Michigan, USA - FEB 4, 2012
12 oz bottle: Aroma has got some hops in there cascade I think. Also, Orange, coriander, and a light bubble gum note. Appearance is a cloudy orange with a medium white head that lingers. Taste has got some up front hops then melds into more of a wheat beer, then more hops. Finally, a finish of a mixture of hops and bubble gum. Overall, Not really an IPA per se, but a decent beer none the less. Cheers! Danyel (1606) - Colorado, USA - FEB 3, 2012
Bottle. Pours copper with white head. Not an ipa. Nothing like an ipa actually. Extremely light body, extremely tasteless, pretty horrible. Really not much going on, at all. Bleh. I am blown away that they call this an ipa, have they ever tasted one!?

More tart than I expected. Found little connection with IPA’s that I have had in the past. It’s a regular shock top with a little more alcohol, but nothing in the area of hops for an IPA. topherh (1928) - Kearney, Missouri, USA - JAN 31, 2012
Pours a hazy orange with a white head. Aroma is citrus and wheat. Flavor is sweet, orange, citrus, lightly tart and bitter fairly balanced with a rather dry finish. Butters (4059) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - JAN 30, 2012
Pours a very slightly hazy golden pour with ring of white head. Not over the top with any particular character or flavor notes. Fairly balanced actually. More wheaty on the nose with a decent dose of citrusy cascade hops. Flavor is a little more citrus sweet hops. Decent bitterness on the finish, but it passes quickly. I’d consider it more of a wheat pale ale than an ipa. But truthfully, I’d drink this if nothing better was around. cmonster (1000) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JAN 27, 2012
Bottle served in a tulip. Pours hazy dark orange with a short head. Short retention and minimal lacing. Nose lacks quality. Has an artificial spice and an artificial malt nose. Light sweet. Sweet spiced flavor. Light body, thin texture, and a lightly hopped dry finish. Not good. Think of it this way... its Shock Top briefly poured over orange peels and coriander seeds. Definitely not an IPA. Beerdrinker79 (2188) - Idaho, USA - JAN 21, 2012
12 oz. bottle- Pours hazy dark orange with a one finger head that is reducing quickly. The aroma is citrusy up front followed by generic beer, pretty bland and boring. The taste is orange peel, very citrusy, very little hops to speak of, maybe a little in the back of the throat. Sessionable, but massively boring, paper thin body, carbonation is soft. It’s Shock Top, what do you expect, you get what you pay for.
