Bottle shared in 2014. Dark brown without much head. Light honey aromas with some light roasted malt and chocolate. Body is thin on the palate but rich and full flavored. Sweet and kind of one dimensional. Lingering sweetness.

Westkyoto77 (636) - Kyoto, JAPAN - OCT 25, 2013
Draught at Bungalow. Dark brackish brown. Fine and smooth body. Not a lot going on taste wise- a touch of cough drop, some coffee hints. Nice palate was the highlight. Aftertaste was good, if a little sweet.

MartinT (10037) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - APR 25, 2013
My Bottom Line:
Loads of actual honey dominate this dark brew’s wooden, leafy hops, a sweetness which is exacerbated by the very low carbonation.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of foam circles the dark brown.
-This is far from a German Schwarzbier...
-The hop character barely tickles the finish.
-Sweetness + low carbonation = low drinkability. Which is a problem for this type of lager, obviously.

On tap at Swan Lake Pub Edo.

shoulderbroken (4255) - Tokyo, JAPAN - APR 21, 2013
Bottle at our Ryoukan in Hakone. Result! Dark brown coloured. Taste is rich, chocolate, brown sauce, intense fruitiness. Parma violets too. Aroma slightly floral, beefy, fruity, some sweetness. Nice.
