Dark brown with a small tan head, light lacing. Aroma and taste is woody, bourbon and oak
Sampled from bottle thanks to MadMitch76. Dark brown to black color, small beige head. Smell and taste malts, loads of bourbon, vanilla, pretty sweet. Nicely barrel aged, nicely bourbon, but a bit too much vanilla for my liking. Medium body and carbonation.

RBESG. Bottle share. Opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Airy palate, semi dry. Mild dark malts. Nice generic dark fruits. Little spice. Medium bourbon, fruity. Little coconut. Light finish. Tasty and pretty drinkable and has lasted well.
Bottle at brewery RBESG14. Black beer tan head. Vanilla. Vanilla and chocolate flavour. Lots of barrel. Ok. Too sharp. Scopey (15264) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 10, 2014
Bottle shared by Kenny during RBESG 2014. 2007 vintage. It pours darkest brown with minimal beige head. The nose is earthy, sweet, bourbon, vanilla, nougat, candy and Crunchie bar. The taste is bitter-sweet, earth, bourbon, vanilla, coffee, toast, wood, candy, Crunchie bar, mild smoke, alcohol, dirt and light medicinal notes. Medium-full body and soft carbonation. Light oxidized aged woody notes. Pretty decent. Leighton (21839) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 8, 2014
Bottle shared during RBESG. Vintage 2007, thanks to Kenny. Pours rich briwn with a frothy beige head. The nose has dark fruits, burnt toffee, read, wood. Medium sweet flavor with toast, old wood, old fruit, berries, earth. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with sugary chocolate, old blackberry, blueberry, earth, burnt toffee, mild cocoa. Not bad. DavoleBomb (1867) - Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 9, 2011
Poured into a snifter. 2007 vintage. Big thanks to johnbjaeger for this.
3.5 A: Black color. Aggressive pour yielded less than one finger of head in mostly large beige bubbles. Some creaminess in there and a good bit of lacing given the original head size.
4.0 S: Bourbon is dominant in this and it smells great. Leathery and woody with a good bit of oak and vanilla. Light fig and currant fruitiness with a touch of char. The problem with this is that there isn’t much of the beer itself (which isn’t going to be a problem for many of you). Very, very little booziness. There’s a decent chocolate component, but the smoke and the roastiness I was expecting are sparce. Still, as a bourbon delivery vehicle, it succeeds.
3.5 T: Taste is like the nose - bourbon with chocolate. Bourbon again is leathery and woody with a light peat and dark fruitiness. Aside from the chocolate, the porter doesn’t even show up. This isn’t surprising given how light the body is. Regardless, it’s still a tasty drink, just not one that focusses on the beer itself.
2.5 M: Light body. A bit undercarbonated (it’s not that old either). Smooth, but lacking creaminess.
3.5 D: This reminds me a lot of the 50/50 Eclipse I had. Excellent barrel aging, but the beer itself has too light of a body and fails to impress on the taste front. Whatever the case, it isn’t a bad drink, particularly if you like bourbon.
