Draft to taster at Shoreline. Looks solid; a completely transparent gold with white head. Smells like most blueberry beers; not much besides the fruit. Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel. Eh.

This is my favorite ’girly’ beer. Perfect balance of fruit and hop flavors.

ICEatALAMO (1349) - Troy, Michigan, USA - AUG 12, 2013
Draft at brewery. The pour is very light yellow. The aroma has a faint hint of blueberry. The taste is light with the lightest hint of blueberry. Not a fruit beer by many standards. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Strykzone (7356) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - JUL 4, 2013
Sampled at the brewery. Clear golden with minimal off white ring. A little blueberry in the aroma with grain. Blueberry is prominent in the flavor but is not at all over powering. Soft hops that are not ideal with the blueberry. Something like orange zest bitterness.

This draft brew from a beer festival poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a . The mild aroma was blueberry. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of blueberry and hops. An OK brew just nothing special.

Gooney (389) - Portland, Oregon, USA - SEP 21, 2012
On tap at brewery - pale yellow with white head. Aromas of blueberries, as expected. Not a bad beer, but it was a little too something I can’t put my finger on.

A very good blueberry ale. Sightly tart, good blueberry notes, the base beer is alright.

Best blueberry beer that I’ve ever had - even better than Goose Island’s Cubbie Blue which is fantastic as well - not too fruity like Berryweise

UPDATED: SEP 9, 2013 On tap at brewpub. Blueberry aroma. Yellow w/ small white head. All I could taste was black pepper... didn’t get blueberry out of it at all. Light bodied. Not impressed, but I don’t like pepper in beer. (initial rating was 2.6) Re-rated on 9-7-13. Completely different experience than the first time. Wheaty malt and light blueberry aroma. Flavor was a really nice creamy what malt and fresh blueberry flavor.

Tap at brewpub. Blueberry malt aroma. Golden yellow color with small head. Slightly sweet blueberry malt flavor with a hint of hops. Light black pepper finish. A very nice fruit beer.
