Hazy gold - amber beer with a big off white head. Softish and slightly dry palate. Mild bretty - seltzer sourness. Nice tangy fruits with sourish pear dominant. Trace of orange marmalade. Finishes smooth and semi dry with mild bitterness. Typically inventive Shorts and a nice Saison.
Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of madmitch76. Pours an almost clear yellow with a white head. Lovely sweet spicy hop aroma - I bet Sorachi Ace! Medium body, sweet and fruity with a slight tartness and then a salty edge. Again these nice Sorachi Ace notes. No real bitterness. Lovely. 150812

A: The beer pours a hazy golden color with a finger of white head.
S: The pears really come through on this. There are lots of fruity hop aromas as well as the fruity ester qualities. A bit of pepper and some spicy notes that seem to be from the yeast. A light bread and malt aroma to round it out.
T: Mildly bitter and peppery with a ton of apples and pears. There’s some yeast and quite a few different esters and phenols going on here. Some mild tropical fruits and a pretty nice citrus hop note.
M: Medium bodied with medium to high carbonation.
O: Really a different beer, but the pears came through nicely. I liked this one. Ratman197 (15200) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - JUN 21, 2015

Sampled on draft at GTMW 2011. Pours a hazy orange color with a large creamy offwhite head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of huge pepper notes, herbal hops. Fairly one note. The taste is pear, peppery hops, citrus and caramel. Medium bodied. crossovert (13724) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 1, 2012
12 oz bottle.
It pours a clear gold with a foamy bright white head that sticks for a bit before leaving some decent lacing.
The smell is good. It is initially spicy, then fruity. It is very flowery as the yeast dominates, the pear is in the back ground and is a pleasant compliment to the yeast and hops.
The flavor is good. Very yeast-driven. The pear comes in underneath and provides a nice accent. A nice saison.
