Tap @ Shorts: Moderately amber body, hazy, not much of a head forming on top. Much like the older anniversary beers, this IPA has plenty of notable malt; sticky toffee & toasted notes, though this may be the lightest of them all so far. Hops introduce pine, tangerine peel, mild grapefruit, & some closing tropical notes. Slightly earthy, dank, & herbal, too. Nice bitterness, lingering into the finish, balancing the sweet malt relatively well. My personal favorite of the "Pre-Wheat Wine" Anniversary beers from Shorts. A hefty IPA, no doubt, but still pretty tasty. thedm (6148) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - DEC 29, 2012
This bottled brew from rbsg #35 poured a small sized head of fine to large sized off-white colored bubbles that were and left behind a softly carbonated hazy dark orange colored body. The aroma was hoppy dough and woody. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish. The strong flavor contained notes of hops. Delicious and one I would certainly like to have again. madmitch76 (24511) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JAN 14, 2010
9th October 2008. GABF. Cloudy brown beer. Very hoppy but the hops are smooth and not bitter. Very dry finish. RSRIZZO (1986) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - OCT 20, 2008
Had this brew at G.A.B.F. 08". Aroma is a nice hoppy scent. Color is a hazy brown with mellow carbonation and a nice head. Starting with a full medium body it goes down with a smooth feel. Finish comes in with a somewhat sweet malt flavor that has a nice caramel taste then a good hop flavor and even bitterness. This is a very hoppy but well balanced IPA. awaisanen (1304) - Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 18, 2008
GABF 2008. Mostly hazy, somewhat greenish tinged breadcrust color with a thin layer of wispy white head. Aromas of pine, grapefruit zest, and some catty uric hop notes. Dank and herbal, with a planty bitterness lingering behind a caramel malt stickiness. Medium bodied, moderately carbonated mouthfeel with a bold, resiny bitterness. Caramel malt sweetness up front, followed by a planty, pithy bitterness. Hops are somewhat obscured by the residual sweetness, leaving a bitter, earthy spiciness behind rather than a crisp, citrus freshness. A bit oniony and catty, but pleasantly chewy and resinous.

(Draught) Pours a hazy amber body with small off-white head. Aroma of pine, floral, caramel, and herbs. Flavor of hops (citrus, pine, earthiness) with toasted and caramel malts to provide balance. DietPepsican (1590) - @ $13.99, Iowa, USA - AUG 26, 2008
GTMW! Orange pour with a small white head. Juicy hop aroma. Flavor was strong citrus and grapefruit hops. Some caramel malt filled in the blank area. Very bitter finish, nice! drewbeerme (3920) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 17, 2008

GTMW ’08. Poured a hazy copper/medium orange color. The head was light tan with a yellowish tint. The aroma was a nice balance of malty caramel and flowery hops. Medium bodied with moderate to high hop bitterness (7 out of 10) that lingered and lingered. Nice flavor profile including the likes of sprucy/citrusy hops, caramel, and toasted bread. I also picked up a hint of bacon mixed in there somewhere. Tasty.
