Huma x2. To the face!
Aww Jeah is an American Double India Pale Ale with a dark orange hue and big hop aromas. Sweet malt collides with an array of hop flavors ranging from sticky fruit to pine. Aww Jeah shifts towards a finish that is sharp and bitter. The dry finish prompts the next sip.

Tap at Clubhouse BFD. Pours honey, white head. Aroma is lots of froot loops cereal, citrus with a strong biscuit malt body. Mostly froot loops. Flavor is froot loops, some citrus, a bit generic for such a great nose.

2nd last night of SL playoffs. 12oz bottle from local grocery. Amber orange pour with a rim of a white head leaving little lace. Aroma has big raw pine and biting citrus, overripe oranges, salty grapefruit and toffee. Strong and hoppy. Taste is of big chewy pine, whole hop cones, tangy citrus, led by grapefruit, all on a sweet toffee backbone. Quite resinous and strongly bitter. Medium to full bodied, with a touch of an alcohol presence. The blend is decent. Finishes to the bitter side of bittersweet. One of the few brews would think could have an entire hop cone - majorly late hopped. If you don’t enjoy bitter, look elsewhere. 13.8

Tap Hop Cats Detroit. Slight head, pine aroma. Taste. Little malt but bigger orange and mango. Did I say pine, here again, aroma-taste-finish. Nice dry finish (bitter) finish. Happy.

12 oz bottle. looks like huma, smells sweeter than huma, and tastes bigger and stronger than huma. the regular huma-lupa-licious is a very good beer, so to call this "Huma x2" feels a little bit like Dark Horse’s Double Crooked Tree, without the hugeness to back it all up. a nice beer, and a good IIPA at 9%, but i disagree with the description that reads "dry finish" because this is a sweet and sticky beer with a ton of hops.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 10/25/2016. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy golden orange color with a 2 finger dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of huge tangerine, pineapple, peach, grapefruit, mango, lemon/orange peel, citrus rind, pine, honey, light caramel, biscuit, and floral/grassy earthiness. Fantastic aromas with great balanced and complexity of juicy/dank citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of huge tangerine, pineapple, peach, grapefruit, mango, lemon/orange peel, citrus rind, pine, honey, light caramel, biscuit, and floral/grassy earthiness. Large amount of pine/citrus rind/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of tangerine, pineapple, peach, grapefruit, mango, lemon/orange rind, pine, honey, biscuit, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy/dank citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate pale malt flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance; and some light lingering hop astringency after the finish, but not overwhelming. Medium carbonation and medium-plus bodied; with a very smooth, sticky/resinous, fairly creamy, and slightly slick balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Minimal warming alcohol for 10.4%. Overall this is an incredible DIPA! All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy/dank citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink for the big ABV. Still feels very juicy all around, despite the strong bitter/resinous flavors. A highly enjoyable offering.

Bottle as a thank you from Matt for Black Note. Aroma is tropical fruit, malt, citrus, sticky, eh. Appearance is dark amber, light brown head, hazy. Taste is bitter, malt, candy, really bitter, pine, citrus, orange peel. Mouthfeel is medium body, light crisp carbonation, awful pine aftertaste. Overall, this is very bad.

Bottle, sampled from a glass, this ale was a golden orange in the glass, there was a faint haze, and the pour gave a one fingers worth of white bubbles, it left spots and small fingers of lacing on the glass, the aromas were toasted and bread malt, pine and grapefruit citrus hops, orange fruit, the hops had a faint herb note to them, maybe a little resin and fruit sweetness, it had flavors of pine and citrus hops, a little toasted malt, orange, lemon and fain melon, malt and sugar sweetness, the finish had a pine and resin hop bitterness that lingered a bit with a touch of a alcohol bite, malt and fruit sweetness trailed afterwards, the mouth feel was on the full side, it felt thick on the tongue, the carbonation was soft to average, it was a bit creamy, and there was a touch of alcohol warmth on the throat, a typical double IPA with pine and resin hops, malty and sweet, the flavor was similar but had a little less hops than the nose let on to, there was a bunch of hops in this beer but there was a lot of malt sweetness to, a so-so IPA2 drink.

Pours an orange amber with minimal head. Spotty lacing. The piney hops hit you upfront on the aroma with some mango and orange. flavor upfront has a malt sweetness with mango and orange and you really get smacked with the piney hops at the backend of the sip. Medium/full bodied. sticky texture. Finish is very dry and has an aggressive lasting bitterness. Damn good.

Crowler filled a few hours ago at the pub. Pours a dark golden with a slight haze, ample soft white head. Complex hop aromas of tropical fruit, citrus, and pine; sweet malts. Moderate sweetness and a heavy, assertive bitterness. Medium+ bodied; the texture is creamy; carbonation is on the soft side of average, very strong bitter finish. Liking this one much more than the Huma Lupa I had last night, mainly due to the aroma and palate. The palate is better than most Short’s pale ale’s I’ve had, but the bitterness is extreme.
