Draft sample at MBGSF 2013. Poured a clear copper color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate sour citrus and earthy aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met. crossovert (13413) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 25, 2013
I think it is a solid beer. Def tastes like your standard heavily-hopped ipa with orange and citrus. shrubber85 (11506) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - JUN 10, 2016
Bottle. Earthy ginseng (almost like sassafras root) and lemon biscuit malt aroma. Golden yellow with moderate head. Mildly sweet peach/lemon, biscuit malt, and moderately bitter herbal hay/ginseng flavor. Good body. Really different. daknole (11049) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - OCT 28, 2012
Gold/apricot tinged pour. Aroma is fruity as hell and then loads of spruce and resiny hops! Flavor is spruce, resin, light orange notes. Nice beer at GABF. phaleslu (10456) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - AUG 20, 2013
Draft pour at GTMW 2013. Pours a clear orange-amber color with a small eggshell white head. Notes of citrus (orange and grapefruit mostly), florals, caramel, pine resin, and tropical fruits. Light-bodied, with a dry, hoppy, crisp, clean mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Nice change of pace. Good supper IPA.

Pour on tap, slightly hazy golden pour with white head, aroma brought notes of biscuit, bread, yeast into nice pine, slight orange peel, grapefruit into a bit of spice, floral notes as well come through. Taste was a mix of floral hops, some orange, grapefruit, some pine into a bit of bread, biscuit, some slight honey, finishing bitter. DrSilverworm (9671) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - NOV 17, 2014
12oz bottle, big thanks to umich03jm. Date on the bottle reads 9/24/14. Totally hazy orange color. Thin off-white head. Decent ridges of lace. Light to medium body. Smooth, kind of crisp, lighter carbonation, light soft, with a lightly slick finish. Big orange peel, zesty flavor, kind of spicy. Moderate bitter taste, lighter sweet. Pretty assertively hoppy, big citrus and spicy hop notes. Towards the end, good grassy and herbal hop flavor comes out. The flavor of a 7% IPA, impressive to pull off at just 4.5%. And the fact that it’s technically a lager is pretty sneaky too, I would have never guessed... Very well executed! With the orange peel and spicy hop, honestly it drinks kind of like a white IPA, which I don’t entirely mind in this instance. Coincidentally, I happen to have a white IPA from Shorts in the fridge right now. Probably what I’ll drink next! douglas88 (9504) - Portland, Oregon, USA - OCT 17, 2012
On tap at GABF 2012 in Denver. Pours a clear golden color with a medium white head. A big nose of pine and fruit. The flavor is a light refreshing brew with lots of bitter hops, light citrus, a bit unbalanced perhaps. Smooth. Green. b3shine (9019) - Indiana, USA - JUN 18, 2013
Bottle to pint (thanks mikem409). Looks good for the style; a transparent orange with foamy white head that dissipates into lacing. Smells solid; hoppy with a lagerish backbone (and a bit of dough). Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel. Enjoyable. Ibrew2or3 (8743) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - APR 2, 2014
12oz bottle share courtesy of BiiruBierBeer. It pours with a gold body that supports a near white head of foam. The aroma offers up rich notes that pulse with peach, lemon, tangelo, pine hops and lemon grass spiciness. Nice! The taste is similar with deep citrus and fruity hoppy goodness from ripe peach and tangelo as well as lemon grass, pine hop bitterness and grapefruit peel. Behind those notes is a modest sugar malt base. Cool brew.
