12 oz bottle...awesome aroma and flavor and would have never guessed that this came from Peaches and Cream because this is crisp and dry with a fantastic bitter finish. Short’s is making some outstanding lagers. wlajwl (7009) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - MAY 18, 2016
Aroma is citrus/orange peel, hops, malts and a hint of bitterness. The flavor is citrus, orange peel/spices, hops/hop resin, malts and a very bitter finish. daknole (11050) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - OCT 28, 2012
Gold/apricot tinged pour. Aroma is fruity as hell and then loads of spruce and resiny hops! Flavor is spruce, resin, light orange notes. Nice beer at GABF. crossovert (13724) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 25, 2013
I think it is a solid beer. Def tastes like your standard heavily-hopped ipa with orange and citrus. MeisterD99 (38) - Lansing, USA - MAY 25, 2013
On tap. Major IPA fan. Decided to try an "IPL". Amber, small head. Light, with orange flavoring. Medium Zeus hopping. A beer designed for summer. A nice light hop alternative for an IPA fan looking for something on a hot summer day.

12 ounce bottle into lager glass, bottled on 5/3/2013. Pours slightly hazy golden amber color with a 1 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass; with some moderate streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of lemon zest, orange zest, grapefruit, tangerine, orange rind, floral, pine, grass, light honey, and floral earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of hop and orange rind notes; with a fair amount of malt balance and good strength. Taste of lemon, orange rind, orange zest, tangerine, floral, pine, grapefruit, grass, light honey, and floral earthiness. Good amount of earthy pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, citrus zest, citrus rind, floral, pine, grass, and floral earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and complexity of hop and orange rind flavors; with a light malt balance and light lingering bitterness after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a crisp and very sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with no warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice session IPL. All around nice balance and complexity of hop and rind flavors; with plenty of flavor for 4.5% and very smooth to drink. A very enjoyable offering. SpongeRuiner (1114) - Michigan, USA - OCT 3, 2013
UPDATED: JUN 7, 2016 A big fan of this one. And one of my favorites of the lager style. Even though this is one of those hoppy type lagers that may not be a true lager. A great beer nevertheless. MetalNHopHead (2125) - Lincoln, Nebraska, USA - NOV 18, 2016
This release from Short’s Brewing reminded me a lot of another beer I had recently, Jack’s Abby Calyptra. Beard of Zeus has a pale gold color and a white head. The aromatics are floral and leafy with a subtle amount of citrus. Taste is quite bitter and hoppy. Lots of dank earth and fruit pith. While it’s maybe not as bright and crisp as you’d expect for as bitter as it is, this is still a refreshing and unique Session beer. Pailhead (6543) - Rochester Hills, Michigan, USA - MAY 18, 2013

Bottle: The aroma consists of moderate-heavy citrus, pineapple, pine, and grapefruit. It pours a transparent gold with a small white head. The flavor starts with a quick dose of citrus and tropical fruits. The finish has moderate pine and a touch of grapefruit. It’s light-medium bodied with mild carbonation. Overall, a really nice IPA.
Draft on tap at The Beer Spot GTMW Eve Event at Brickhouse (Madison, WI). Pours a nice amber orange hue, mellow haze, with frothy offwhite head atop. Mellow ring laces ok. Aromas are decent grapefruit, bit of lemon and florals. A small bready element. Dry, small, firmly hoppy. Initial is firmy bitter, dry and grapefruit ridden. Firmly dry, bitter, a bit resiny as we move on. Grapefruit juice, rind, some lemon, touch of guava. Firm juiciness. Dry middle and backed show some firm dry and resiny qualities. Bitter, dryuu. Backend is dry, bitter. Small malt body meets richly grapefruit bitter presence. Firm hop, dryness. Nice beer.
