tap at hopcat. i believe this is the same beer as their "belgian plum ipa" from a year ago. but i am not sure. aroma of over-ripe fruit and hops. flavor is extremely soapy, with bitter biting hops leading to an overly dry finish. not enjoyablejbierling (15) - Michigan, USA - JUL 10, 2010

Old notes. On tap at hopcat. Shorts party. Aroma of detergent, cleaner, soap and piney hops. Spicy as hell. Flavor is too much of this as well and is extremely difficult to enjoy. A biting ipa whose characteristics remind me of tile wash. Blech
Appearance: black with maroon, not much head by the time it arrived at the table.
Nose: dark chocolate and plumbs.
Taste: lots of plumbs, and dark chocolate
Very drinkable; perfect mix of a plums and beer.

Pours medium dark brown with a thin cream head. Nose is sweet fruits and lite chocolate with nice pine hops as well. Flavor is the same with mild bitterness in the finish.
