Bellaire Brown is a full-flavored brown ale that derives sweet caramel and toasted qualities from four different kinds of malt and specialty grains. Select hop varieties create an enticing aroma and dry finish. Bellaire Brown is very dark and rich, which makes it hard to classify as a brown, but it is certainly considered a delicious masterpiece.

Bellaire Brown was originally created to appeal to people who enjoyed drinking coffee, and to beer drinkers who are not interested in hoppy options. When Joe Short was creating the Bellaire Brown recipe, he desired a beer that was meatier and burlier than most browns. Bellaire Brown is a great gate-way beer for drinkers to be introduced to darker beer varieties.

UPDATED: OCT 13, 2017 Very thin beer with no head or lacing . Dark brown color. Nutty bready aroma. Lightly carbonated. Toasted malty flavor. Finishes smooth. Lighter easy drinking brown ale.

Dark amber, bit reddish. Nose has burnt sugar, caramel and hops. Flavour has also some more hops, nice bitterness painted on this caramelly nutty canvas. Great brown, liking this.

355ml bottle (Baltic Broken Bus Beer Bash @ RBESG2017) (4:4:4:2:7=2.1)
Dark, tan head. Gravy (could be "grainy", writing on a moving bus is hard, but better than writing on a stationary bus, n’est pas?) aroma, savoury. Full palate. Stale coffee in the taste, sweet. Powdery finish. Pretty shitty brown ale.

Noodle (24) - Ohio, USA - AUG 5, 2017
Nice brown ale. Malty and sweet, with a hint of smokiness. Could use slightly more bitterness and head is weak, but still a good beer.

330ml bottle (Grand Bus Tasting 2017). Clear brown color. Small size, off-white head, stays. Sweet, candy, husky and some roast in aroma. Husky, grainy, candy in taste. Fizzy carbonation. Dirty and yeasty in aftertaste. Why? Nope.
