[A] Not very big on the nose. Some powdered cocoa, and the European malt come through. [A] Brown beer. [F] Chocolate. Caramel. Some nuttiness. Light roast. Malty sweetness. About all. [P] Drinkable. I wouldn’t consider a 6 pack, though. Pretty average feel for a brown. [O] This was the last in my Short’s 4-pack sampler this evening. It was pretty boring compared to the others. Still a solid brown. And for $8, I might just grab the same 4 brews for the next session.
355ml bottle (Baltic Broken Bus Beer Bash @ RBESG2017) (4:4:4:2:7=2.1)Noodle (24) - Ohio, USA - AUG 5, 2017
Dark, tan head. Gravy (could be "grainy", writing on a moving bus is hard, but better than writing on a stationary bus, n’est pas?) aroma, savoury. Full palate. Stale coffee in the taste, sweet. Powdery finish. Pretty shitty brown ale.
Nice brown ale. Malty and sweet, with a hint of smokiness. Could use slightly more bitterness and head is weak, but still a good beer. Marduk (7946) - Reval, ESTONIA - AUG 4, 2017
330ml bottle (Grand Bus Tasting 2017). Clear brown color. Small size, off-white head, stays. Sweet, candy, husky and some roast in aroma. Husky, grainy, candy in taste. Fizzy carbonation. Dirty and yeasty in aftertaste. Why? Nope. VamboladeTolly (2131) - Tartu, ESTONIA - AUG 2, 2017

UPDATED: JUN 27, 2017 RB says this is my US rating #3333. Bottle. Nose chocolate, bit of crystal, malty, touch nutty. Pour light brown, cloudy-opaque with a few tawny hints, head sudsy beige. Lightly crisp, very heavy body, bitterness medium but not intense at ll, semi-sweet and malty, lots of good brown malt and shades of roast, nuttiness, but no scorch or darker / harsher roasts. Heavy with obvious kick behind it (though alcohol extremely well integrated, as seems to be the general case with Short’s), mild fruitiness that I have to look for at times, and malt that’s occasionally flabby but usually deep. Bright, fresh, and somewhat unusual. Meaty indeed! [2017.06.23: 3.5] geologyguy (1616) - Columbia, South Carolina, USA - MAR 6, 2017
Medium but watery roasted malt smell...Exactly that on taste except a bit more mouthfeel than I thought it would have...light complexity of malt...No hops...So much like all the other beers I’ve had on this trip so far...At landfill course in Wisconsin!
