12 oz bottle poured into a tulip. Reddish brown pour with almost no head. Nose is cherries, taste follows with some bitter chocolate. Medium mouthfeel. Just ok. Lowenbrau (4686) - Asturias, SPAIN - NOV 27, 2012
355ml bottle. Pours dark, some tan head, vanishing, flat carbonation, oily texture. Medium to light body, quite watered down. Taste is roasty, with strong cherries notes, quite balanced. Enjoyable.

On tap at Hopcat. Pours black with a reddish brown head that sticks around. Aroma is cherry and dark fruit with a good amount of roastiness as well. Flavor matches the aroma with a lot of cherry and dark fruit, and a great roasted flavor that blends so well with the cherry. This was definitely the highlight of my trip to Hopcat. Wish I would have picked up some bottles while in Michigan. JPDurden24 (1675) - Chandler, Arizona, USA - NOV 21, 2012
Black pour, beige head. Cherry aroma and a little cocoa. Taste is sweet and cherry with light chocolate flavor. Pretty good. crajun (1259) - , Texas, USA - NOV 18, 2012
12 oz bottle recd in trade from umich03jm (to glass).
I HATE fruit beers!!!! This may be my most favorite fruit beer. aroma of all things roasted plus cherry. Why this works for me - it isn’t tart!! much roasted malts and slight chocolate in flavor - cherry sweetness slightly up front and at end... Thanks Jason!!

12oz bottle thanks to northernbrews, pours black with a red tint to it with a light brown head, aroma is of nice chocolate with a little bit of sour cherry mixed in, the flavor has a nice amount of chocolate on the front end with a tartness of cherries in the finish, pretty rounded all the way through, pretty good stuff. mgatesy (23) - Michigan, USA - NOV 16, 2012
Big cherry front, delicious and not overpowering. Not as earthy as a traditional porter, but contains notes of chocolate or coffee. ej (1330) - Hauglandshella, NORWAY - NOV 14, 2012
Dark pour with a small tan head. Aroma of Subdued cherries, liquorice and mild roastyness. Taste is mild roasty with Subdued cherries and sweet malts. Very light hints of tar and leather. ClubGonzo (5685) - Bergen, NORWAY - NOV 14, 2012
Bottle, shared with BBGTC. Black body with a slight cherry red hue and a small light beige head. Aroma is salty licorice, mild dark berries, dark chocolate and traces of cherry. Taste is roasty caramel malt tones, toffee, hints of black berries and cherries. Very mild. Smooth body, medium carbonation. Good, but I wish for more cherries to come through. visionthing (5496) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - NOV 10, 2012
Bottle shared by Arve_Christian (thanks!). Pretty black with a small beige head. Aroma is a strange mix of cherries and other dark fruits with chocolate and hints of coffee and some roasty notes. Medium body. Fruity and malty with a lightly sour and bitter finish. Decent, but not quite my kind of beer I guess. (2012-11-09)
