Deep brown to black with a medium, fairly creamy, beige head. Aroma has heavy vanilla caramel sweetness, almost like Werthers Echte. Rye bread, oak, sweet toffee. Lowish carbonation, fat and quite oily mouthfeel. Flavour has surprisingly little toffee - there is some, but fairly subdued. Heavy oak at first, roasted malts, lots of vanilla, milky chocolate, dry and roasted. Very nice, even if the aroma is a bit much. And the original was better.
clear brown, smooth offwhite yellowish head.
aroma is nutty, roasted grains, licorice
flavor is licorice, wood (barrel aged notes) , roasted rains. well balanced, well tasting i’d say imperial stout, not schwarzbier. barrel aged notes dominate.

On tap. Poured a very dark brow with an off-white head that lasted and laced. Aroma had plenty of sweet bourbon notes with underlying sweet and dark grains. Flavor was similar with plenty of sweet bourbon that blended well with sweet grains and a bit of chocolate.
