Pours clear deep gold into a Sam glass. Off-white conglomerate head with excellent retetention recedes leaving spider lacing to coat surface. Serious weed aromas. Thin with upfront sweet caramel turning to deep resin before a slight biscuit turn in the lasting resin finish. Aroma wins... Snojerk321 (2984) - San Diego, California, USA - MAR 17, 2011
12oz bottle. Pours a mostly clear orange amber with a frothy white head. Nose holds citrus hops and some grain. Medium bitter on the palate with not a whole lot going on in the finish. j12601 (13114) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - MAR 17, 2011
On tap at Sunset for their Shorts event prior to EBF. Pours a clear gold with a thin white head. Big clean citrus and bright hops. Nice and malty, big hops. Lots of earth and more hop flavor. Big grapefruit and quinine finish. HonusWagner (2226) - Florida, USA - MAR 13, 2011
Another citrusy, quite hoppy IPA from Shorts. A bit sweet in the middle but finishes dry and bitter, these are their best beers and I’d much rather have these than the dessert gimmick beers. mattmc1973 (479) - Sterling Heights, Michigan, USA - MAR 8, 2011
12 oz bottle poured into a pint glass. Color is murky orange with thin tan ring, minimal head. Aroma of big juicy grapefruit hops, a touch of pineapple. Taste is quite bitter with a touch of sweetness. IPA’s normally have a sweet caramel malt to balance the bitterness, but this is quite different with the toasted biscuity malt. Smooth, light, and crisp mouthfeel, quite quenching. A unique and tasty IPA!

Pours a semi hazy deep gold with a small white head and some nice lasting lace. Nose is fresh, crisp hops. Fruity, citrus, oranges, floral notes, light some herbal notes. Aromas also of rich malts of bread, and toasted and kilned character. Taste is fresh citrus hops, some fruitiness from the hops, toasted biscuit malts, cooked bread, and finishes bitter with loads of crisp hop character. Carbonation and bitterness cleans it up in the finish. Good and glad I had it fresh but is a little strange in the biscuit/toast character. Glad to try it. 12oz bottle. Light amber pour with a medium head. Hoppy aroma with a flavors more on citrus and less on pine. An OK IPA, not a great one. Onslow (1532) - Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA - FEB 26, 2011
Pour from a 12 oz bottle. SLightly cloudy mid-amber brew. Nice hops aroma. taste of not-so-sweet malt with a really splendid hops citrus hops finish. Excellent IPA. hopdog (13102) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 28, 2011
12oz bottle. Poured a medium, slight haze, amber color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of citrus, toasted grains, and a lighter earthiness. Tastes of citrus, caramel, and toasty. wavers1 (916) - Notown, California, USA - JAN 14, 2011
courtesy of flandersned. very curious brew. not what i would expect from an ipa, more along the lines of a pale in some ways, but pretty odd. pours an amber orange with a lively orangish head to match. smell of crisp green apples. very tart in the taste to match as well, has a bright note immediately and then finishes sort of dry. slight infection maybe? its still pretty good, but i would think they would call it an apple pie ipa or something from what i am tasting here.
