Draft at the brewpub, Bellaire. Hazy medium red-orange-brown body, thin tight clumping beige head. Nose of orange peel, brown sugar, and sweet toasted cereals. Intense, chewy and sweet with huge citrusy and piny bitterness. This really feels like a barleywine, as suggested by its origins, and much less so an Irish ale. bpar73 (1177) - Bellaire, Michigan, USA - SEP 2, 2013
On tap at the brewpub. Red pour with a light white head. Just as advertised,, it is a hoppy version of an Irish ale. Very palatable. paintedmaple (671) - People’s Republic of Bloomington, Indiana, USA - SEP 2, 2013
On tap at the brewpub...nice reddish pour with a clean, crisp, and fruity flavor with the addition of hoppy aromas and flavors that are often subdued in this style. Me likey.
