Draft sample at brewpub. Poured clear brown color with an average fizzy off-white head that was mostly lasting with excellent lacing. Moderate complex toasted malt and coffe aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a medium dark sweet finish of moderate duration. Solid drinkable beer.

Ehh not that great of a mild, very thin, very staleish, lacking in that big yeasty character.

12oz bottle. Thanks to umich03jm! Mostly clear, very dark red color. Appears brown. Thin khaki head. Few short ridges of lace. Lighter body. Smooth, kind of crisp, lighter carbonation. Lightly dry finish. Good nutty, kind of light dark chocolatey aroma. Nice light earthy hop. Good moderate bitter taste, light sweet. Solid, flavorful, crushable, easy drinking dark mild ale. Good one to wash my sandwich down with. May have gone down too quick, maybe.

Some mash malt and a lot of weird side product here. Hazy brown pour with ok initial head and lacing. Sour finish. Tap at Churchkey.
