33cl bottle thanks to Papsoe. Dark brown color with thin head. Carbonation is medium. Bitterness and sweetness is medium. Dryness is quite nice. Hop, caramel and light fruit and dried fruits aroma.
Bottle. Nose is heavy roast, nutty, crystal, dough, paper, earth, wonderful mix. Pour cloudy brown mix with some ruby and orange at the bottom, a foamy, dense tan head. Taste lightly sweet, not really bitter, crystal, densely malty fullish body, oh hey, there’s the bitterness at the finish. Clean, dash of fruit, not as much roast or fruit as was portended by the aromatics. Lightly sticky lips, utterly perfectly hidden alcohol, very light hint of mint. Interesting mix, a little off the beaten path -- one I would really enjoy in volume but might have problems remembering. [2017.06.23: 3.7] thedm (6319) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - APR 24, 2017
This bottled brew from a bottle shop was served at a cool temperature and poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized off-white colored bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a very softly carbonated body semi-opaque brown colored body and a fair lacing. The mild aroma was brown ale. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a lingering malt hop aftertaste. The ok flavor contained notes of nutty brown malt and hops. An OK brew just nothing special. wlajwl (7063) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - APR 22, 2017
Aroma is piney hops, malts and sugar/mild candy. The flavor is grapefruit, caramel malts, mild earthiness, hops and a bitter/slightly tart/nutty finish. kaser (6378) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 7, 2017
Brown sugar sweet and coffee taste. Aroma is burnt leaves and earthy. Pretty tasty for the style Draft pour at Hopcat in Chicago, 5oz snifter. zubblwump (118) - Michigan, USA - MAR 19, 2017
Murky light brown pour, one finger head. Slightly pungent odor. Malty body, some hints of caramel. I swear I taste overripe banana (?), and there’s a little spiciness too. Not a lot of fizz. It’s unique, but not really my thing.

bottle. very cool, unique beer. split 3 ways, but enough to know a very good ale. will be getting this again vyvvy (6714) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - MAR 4, 2017
It pours clear brown with an off white head. It has a medium full crisp body. The taste has brown sugar, nuts and some astringency and a bit of earthy spicy hops. nuplastikk (6452) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 19, 2017
12oz bottle. Unfiltered deep brown body. The hop tone really doesn’t work that well here, giving sort of an oily burnt taste. Doesn’t come together well at all, has a lot of homebrewish characteristics. Shorts might be off my radar if they continue to put out such amateur product. 12oz bottle from god knows where: brown pour, light tan-white head. aroma of cocoa, butterscotch, toffee, earthy. tastes are along those lines and nutty, roasty, cocoa, background citrus, caramel, light hop bitter. not normally my thing, but grew on me. Dorkenstein (564) - - FEB 6, 2017
Aromas of yeast, bread, alcohol, passion fruit, and papayas. Taste is fresh bakes bread, caramel, toffee, yeast, alcohol, cocoa, tropical fruits, and pine tar in the finish.
