• Sexy penetrable fruit intensity for the experienced and novice
• Beer Type: High Gravity Ale fermented with blueberries, strawberries and blackberries

Imperial Soft Parade is a gourmet specialty pour that is brewed with toasted rye flakes and two-row malted barley. Loaded with pureed strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and blackberries, we refer to this fermented potion as a fruit infused rye ale. The result is a refreshing fruit delicacy that’s easy to drink, appealing to look at, and finishes dry.

Bottle:   Deep caramel, a little burnt brown sugar hues, moderate fizzy off-white head, dies immediately.   SOunds like a cola in its fiziness, the head at least.   The nose reminds me of the days when I would take 16oz of sweetened strawberries, mixed with ice and vodka... all in a blender.   Very berry on the tongue.   Also pretty alcoholic.   Very fizzy, bubbley.   The Berry aspect is there, but not as bright or sweet as say... New Glarus.   Reminds me of the Founders Blushing Monk without being as heavy or sweet.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Warming alcoholic finish, berry, but not the sweet kind.   Decent, but leaves me wanting Blushing Monk for the same effect but with more fruit flavor.

Martinus (4692) - Baarle-Nassau, NETHERLANDS - OCT 27, 2011
Reddish brown colour, white head. Fruity aroma, light sweet, fruit and berries, with strawberry, blueberry, blackberry and raspberry tones very prominent. Fruity sweet flavour, wood, lots of fruit, quite tart. Somewhat astringent mouthfeel, tart finish.
(From 75cL bottle @ DRBM 2011. Brewdate 4.13.07)

holdenn (2116) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUL 2, 2011
Sampled at the hopcat in the summer of 09 thanks to the generous bartender. Red orange in color with a thin head that laces. Sweet rich juicy sour fruits of raspberry, cherry and blueberry in the aroma. Medium creamy body that’s thick for a fruit beer. Juicy frut flavors similar to the aroma but really juicy. Good stuff.

Pinball (12231) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JUN 20, 2011
Bottle from kihoskh. #773 of 1008 produced. bottled 2007. As adviced on the beer information pamphlet, the beer was sampled while listening to The Doors, The soft Parade. Slightly cloudy red-amber, smooth beige head. Aroma is sweet fruity - red fruits like strawberries, raspberries etc. alcohol, jam, wine gums. seems a bit "tired". flavor is malty, bitter malty, red fruity sweetness, jam, frut peel bitterness, Alc. only noticeable as a sort of bitterness, I would prefer red wine, which the taste resembles slighthly. The bitterness and fruitiness resembles a little bit a belgian fruit lambic, but then - the sour part of fruit lambic is not here at all, leaving only a bittersweet ripe fruity flavor with alc. notes.
