• Sexy penetrable fruit intensity for the experienced and novice
• Beer Type: High Gravity Ale fermented with blueberries, strawberries and blackberries

Imperial Soft Parade is a gourmet specialty pour that is brewed with toasted rye flakes and two-row malted barley. Loaded with pureed strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and blackberries, we refer to this fermented potion as a fruit infused rye ale. The result is a refreshing fruit delicacy that’s easy to drink, appealing to look at, and finishes dry.

The bottle (386 of 1005) says this was also made with raspberries. Cloudy brown beer. Crisp and dry palate. The four fruits are perfectly balanced - nothing dominates, just a nice generic fruits of the forest flavour, but completey unsweet. After the fruit there is a sourish rye malt finish but no rye spice. Unusual but would have preferred the fruit to be sweeteded a little.

Bottle, 75 cl. Pours red with a small head. Aroma has loads and loads of berries, strawberries, raspberries, nice caramel, really nice berry quality. Taste has lots of berries, currants, strawberries, not much trace of neither malts not hops, just plain berry niceness. One of the best Shorts offerings we had this evening.

Pours orange/amber with a white head. Aroma is sweet berries, blueberries and lacto. Taste is sweet berries, sourness, light tart and lacto sweetness.

Reviewed from notes. Thanks to mcallister for this extra. Pours a beautiful pink ruby with a nice lightly-tinted head that has a bit of a reddish character. Nose is soft fruits with quite a few different berries; the strawberry really came through to me with the blueberry coming through to a lesser extent. Nice blueberry and strawberry flavor throughout. In the end, the feel was pretty decent and it drank well enough, but the unique concept only lasted for a bit before this started to taste less interesting and wasn’t much to keep me drinking. Pours reddish and hazy. Aroma of fruits that is quite a mess. Wine like and not like beer. I’m not really impressed and it is not loaded with any malt like flavor. lightly boozy and a slick mouthfeel. not great.

Bottle thanks to bigmmartin. Aroma is sweet malts. notes of fruit are in there, but I also get a sourness, and some yeast. Palate is light for 10%. Flavor is a little tart, but in a good way. Very different, but I would expect anything else from shorts.

Bottled 75cl. Great inviting fruity nose with blueberries being most present. Overly sweet taste. The alcohol is very well hidden. I liked the aroma a lot more than the taste. An interesting beer.

Bottle 9.6 oz from Allen, thanks ! A cloudy reddish brown beer with low head. Smell is nicely perfumed, good fruit nose. Aroma is relatively dry with blueberries notes, blackberries notes are low for me. Not too acid good fruit combination, just less complex as expected. Quite heavy yeast notes for a 2007 bottle, nice malt presence anyway, alcohol is quite properly hidden.

from erzbierschof.ch - cloudy reddish-brown colour with a poor foam left; a very fruity and pure nose where blueberries dominate; notes of strawberries and blackcurrants too; light notes of vinegar bring a nice combination; sweet and slightly acidic, medium to full malt backbone; juicy palate and with a moderately dry finish; some lingering acidity in a long and deep fruity finish (blueberries again) - sumptuous
