750ml graciously left by Derek at our condo. My wife loves soft parade and I’d assume that she will enjoy this one too... Pours a muddled dark cherry brown with a frothy barely off-white head... Soft Belgian yeast profile supplemented by various berry fruits. Perhaps some apples
and strawberries as well... Flavors don’t stray too far off with a prounounced Belgian yeast profile and semi-sweet yet a little tart red fruitiness. A little bit of a boozy note on the backend. Somewhat lively carbonation with a thin to medium body. Not bad but wouldn’t be able to choke down too much.

750 ml bottle from the brewery (Bellaire, MI). Pours a murky berry reddish hue, some rich brownish copper notes, well carbonated with a creamy beige head that dies to a good film, laces ok. Aromas are a melange of berry fruit, strawberries and blueberries stick out with raspberries, preserves, mellow rye bread and a touch of toffee. A bit cakey and biscuity on the nose, quite appetizing with a touch of vanilla. Initial is medium bodied, a bit fizzy on the tounge, lively berries with lightly bitter tannins. Strawberry puree, blueberries are mellow, a touch of tart blackberry. Caramel, toffee, biscuits, smoothed out, medium bodied with a decent cakey and biscuity sweetness. Lightly tannin bitterness, slight hop, a warming booziness. Quite a flavor enhancement of the base recipe, lively fruitiness but restrained to let the rye and biscuity malts take over, light tannin bitterness and light hops, smooth toffee and vanilla. A nice beer here by Shorts.. Big with an interesting berry take.. I liked this more than regular Soft Parade.. If you are gonna do it, you do it like this.. Not half it. A sipping summer beer.. Sweeter, but nice on the palate pauls_parade (340) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - JUN 21, 2010
Crystal clear, rose-red with a slight head that gathers on the sides and dots the glass with lacing. A burst of berries come to the nose, sweet and sour. The palate is very clean and smooth. Light in body. Dry finish. The flavor is tart up front, but sweet in the middle. There is a grassy/dry bitterness in the end. This is really nice. One of the better fruit beers I’ve had. The alcohol is very well masked. Enjoyable! Ibrew2or3 (8614) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - MAY 29, 2010
Courtesy of markwise. Pours pinkish with fizzy white head showing off ruby red hues here and there. The aroma is spicy, lemon, sweet juice, floral perfume and a bit of sour funkiness. The taste is punchy with some spice and citrus and then it gets tempered by red berry flavor cotton candy. It ends sweeter with fresh berry juice notes. Interesting stuff. rosenbergh (11532) - Tampere, FINLAND - MAY 29, 2010

Clear red colour (w/o yeast)/Murky reddish brown (w yeast) colour with small light tan head.
Berries, strawberry, cherry, winey and malty aroma.
Winey berry flavour with malt, hops and alcohol.
Alcohol warms quite a lot. 10% wasn’t unnoticeable.
Thanks to FlossmoorBrewAlum for this one in trade. Pours berry red-pink with a bone white head. Nose is berry pulp, booze, and some acetone. Flavor is similar with noticeable strawberry, raspberry, and blueberries along with heavy booze. Medium bodied and every bit of 10%. watchman146 (4) - Michigan, USA - APR 19, 2010 does not count
High gravity beer offers an intensity of taste and appearance. The passionate mauve coloring, and the smooth taste disarm the drinker but without the dissipation of similar big market beers. Soft Parade has a medium sweetness that compliments the full body experience, ending with a long finish. Very enjoyable beer that is one of the best premium brews offered by Short’s. nimbleprop (8376) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - APR 9, 2010
12oz bottle scored via trade. Pours a hazy, translucent, purply red with a thin, creamy white head. The aroma is very surprising, tons of berry, actually juicy smelling, strawberry, raspberry, grape jelly, leafy vegetables. Flavor is berry jam, raspberry cobbler, grape jelly, strawberry, with a distinct alcohol presence, some sweet malts too. Finish is medium bodied with a touch of tartness. The nose is great, the beer could have more of a malt backbone to stand up to all the other flavors. Cletus (6355) - Connecticut, USA - MAR 5, 2010
Pours pinkish amber with a nice sustained head. Aroma is dominated by berries, some dry malty hints, floral notes. Tastes of pronounced berries, some dryness, some funky undertones with a dry finish. deyholla (11597) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - FEB 28, 2010
Sampled from the bottle at the 2010 February Circle City Tasting. Poured a hazy reddish orange with a slight brown hue and minimal head. Flavor was full of sweet fruits including strawberry, cherry and a bit of blueberry with a slight tart undertone. Flavor had the same berry flavors and was sweet, but was balanced by a hint of tartness and alcohol.
