Served on draft at the Michigan Summer Beerfest, 2010, as part of RBSG festivities. Pours a hazy peach color with a thin head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of very big spruce notes. The taste is bitter and woody spruce notes. Medium bodied. Very bitter. Quite nice. Christian (13670) - Odense, DENMARK - SEP 22, 2008
Dark golden with a lasting white head. Aroma is interesting enough, bordering oddness: Forest shrubbery, spruce, medicine and peppermint. Flavour is bitter in an unpleasant way, and the spruce tends to turn into turpentine.
Hoppy beer with spruce? Interesting. A ton of spruce? No subtleties left. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - NOV 6, 2007
(750ml bottle) Pours a hazy golden body with a moderate white head. Aroma is very foul with notes of rotten eggs and spruce. Flavor of spruce, grass, and some offensive herbal qualities. I found this to be one of the less desirable beers I have had in quite awhile, though others that I shared this with raved about it. To each their own, I suppose. Interesting as I typically enjoy spruce beers. Dogbrick (13010) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - FEB 25, 2009
Thanks to Rogueone for sharing a bottle. The beer is a hazy golden amber color with a thin and compact off-white head that dissipates slowly. Thin rings of lacing. Aroma of pine and spruce with some spiced hops in the background. Medium-bodied and moderately bitter with flavors of Saaz hops and evergreens. Luckily the spruce flavor does not get to car air freshener levels. Very little malt is present, which leads to some astringency. The finish is bitter with a lingering piney hops aftertaste. An above average and Interesting beer overall. crossovert (12934) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 29, 2015
Draft. Golden pour. Sweet spruceyvara flavor is grassy mossy earth. Not good at all.

Pours a great, clear golden with a medium, frothy, white head. Fine duration. Aroma has a ton of pine, forest, wood and hops. Fine mouthfeel, rather creamy. Flavour is just far too much, an entire pine tree dumped into my beer. Hops and mint as well.
750ml bottle acquired in trade with hoppymeal (thanks!). Bottle # 251 / 886. Poured a medium and hazy golden color with an averaged sized white head. Aromas of spruce, grassy, and citrus. Tastes follow suit. LIght fruitiness as well. Definitely spruce in there! Sammy (12204) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 19, 2009
Bottle from the brewery. Tremendous aroma from the tips of the tree, I enjoyed this forest. Grapefruit body with white lasting head. Carbonation there and helps drinkability, which is easy. Taste is piney, Saaz hops? ABove average mouthfeel. madsberg (11770) - Søborg, DENMARK - JUL 4, 2009
Bottled. Golden coloured. Unclear. Dense beige head. Pine, sweetness, herbs and flowers dominate the aroma. Quite complex. Flavour of pine, sweetness and fruits. A somewhat grassy touch. Medium to full bodied. Nicely bitter and dry in the end. Quite refreshing. daknole (11049) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - SEP 5, 2010
Lightly hazy orangish pour. Aroma is all christmas trees, rosemary and honey. Flavor starts bitter, hits with a big dose of resin and rosemary then gives way to a lightly honeyed malty sweetness. Nice. Totally unique brew.
