12 ounce bottle from Short’s. Hazy amber, large foamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of pine, citrus, a bit of apricot and caramel. The taste is toffee, pine, earth, resin, lime, grapefruit. Medium bodied, lingering bitterness. 50th ISL! Sammy (12201) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 3, 2015
Big hoppy lager. Fresh bottle from Champane’s Cellars. Brilliant though not super drinkable. Good hop aroma. phaleslu (10247) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - NOV 15, 2013
12 oz. bottle shared by DrSilverworm- thanks again, Chris! Pours a clear amber-gold with a small off-white head. Aroma of citrus, soap, florals, pale and sweet malts, and toasted sugar. Flavor is spot-on the same as the nose. Light-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a bitter, dry mouthfeel. Good IPA. DrSilverworm (9671) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - NOV 15, 2014
12oz bottle, thanks to umich03jm. Bottled 9/29/14. Orange amber color. Thin off-white head. Leaves good, thicker lace. Toasty malt, pretty spicy earthy hop, pretty assertive and tingly on the back end. I suppose that’s what they’re referring to as that "big bitter shock... resonates sharply". Indeed it does, it’s a little bit uncomfortable. Huge citrusy dank resiny hop that I start to appreciate more 1/4 the way in, after my palate has a chance to acclimate. Heavily hopped is right. This thing must be 100+ IBU. Or is that just the stronger carbonation confusing my palate? Huge bitter taste, light sweet, and spicy taste. Liking this more and more as I go though. It’s definitely not a swigger. Full dark grain aromas, hints of chocolate. Medium plus body. Kind of soft crisp relatively stronger carbonation, and dry finish. It’s sort of a smooth texture, but rough with the extremely assertive flavor. Interesting, huge stuff. I came around to it, once I realized what I was dealing with. Very unique and unexpected. arminjewell (9646) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - APR 12, 2015
Pour on tap, dark orange red pour with white head, aroma brought notes of big orange, grapefruit, some lemon into a bit of pine, grass, some slight caramel and toffee with some toasted bread. Taste was a nice mix of orange, citrus, pine notes into a bit of caramel, toffee, toast, hints of grass, finishing bitter. Basically a red IPA instead of an amber.

Draft on tap at The Beer Spot GTMW Eve Event at Brickhouse (Madison, WI). Pours a deeper amber orange hue, gentle haze, healthy glow, and a frothy offwhite head atop. Dies to a firm filmy layer, laces ok. Aromas are gentle sweetness, decent American hop presence. Florals, grass, gentle citrus rind. Some gentle malty elements, fruit. Initial is lighter end of medium bodied, a bit soapy, well carbonated with gentle florals, grass, prickly fruit elements. Middle is a touch mellow, dry, resiny. Some firm hoppy dryness carries into the backend, some florals, pine, and dry grainy malt. Finish is a firm dry resiny feel, earthy and floral. Really nice. Some great play, a bit girthy immediately but not sweet or malty at all. I prefer Mmm Kay but this isn’t bad. Solid. Beerman6686 (6607) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 22, 2014
This poured an amber color with a white head. Aroma was of fruity and grassy hops and toasted malt. Flavor similar, definitely going towards an ipl. at this point. Pailhead (6539) - Rochester Hills, Michigan, USA - JUL 5, 2013

Bottle: The aroma consists of dank hops, grapefruit, light fruit, and a hint of caramel. It pours a transparent amber with a small off-white head that quickly fades to a thin film outlined by a slightly thicker ring. There is some sporadic dotted lacing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with a quick dose of fruit and a hint of caramel. The finish has moderate grapefruit, lighter dank hops, and a touch of grass. It’s medium bodied with mild carbonation.
