Melt My Brain is an experimental Golden Ale brewed with coriander, juniper berries, limes and blended with Short’s made tonic water to create the tasting experience of drinking a gin and tonic cocktail. Delicate aromas of citrus and pine flow into bold bright flavors of sweet lime with a slightly sticky bitterness. Refreshing and clean, a tasty tonic effervescence provokes the palate for more.

12 ounce can .from the remainder shelf at Liberty Beer in Pittsburgh. Quite unique -- it really did taste like a gin and tonic. A neat and rare exotic

Bottle. Cloudy, dirty yellow body, thin off-white head. Nose of citrus peel and coriander, rather wit-like. Odd body, sweet, limier than the nose suggested, sugary with grassy hops. Think gin-and-tonic but sweeter with added hops, the juniper really asserting itself in the finish after several sips. Is this beer? I don't care...it's tasty.

5/29/2016 -- from notes: 12oz bottle, from Dutch's. Bottled 03/02/16. Sort of hazy yellow color. Airy white head. Some frothy lace. Quite a bit of salty lime up front. Bottle does not mention salt but there's absolutely noticeable salt taste here. Works well with the lime and bready malt. Kind of tangy / mild sour. Moderate-plus sweet. Medium-plus body, with a sort of slick, syrupy finish. Solid one to sip on after wakeboarding on a warm day.. Big taste for small sips. A little tequila would be awesome in this.

UPDATED: NOV 24, 2017 Melt my Brain Draught pint from Michigan Craft Beer booth at Ford Field. Pours a filtered light gold with head that disappears quick to some decent lacing. Smells slightly sweet and a bit of fruitiness and saourness. Taste is similar. No real hop bitterness but way too sweet with a dominant sour taste. Almost like a shandy. Light body with next to no aftertaste (slight bitterness). Great carbonation. Overall I was very happy to try a bet from this brewer as most others were so hoppy they'd melt your brain. Easy drinking other then the sourness, quality ingredients. Would not buy again. MB. The Beer 'Bear'on.

Appearance: Bright medium golden. slightly hazy. Thin ring of white bubbles. Nose: Sweet, tart, sour. Citrus, melon and limes Taste: A tart lemon-lime with candy sweetness. Elements of juniper and quite sour. Body: lighter with lively carbonation. Parting thoughts: A very unique and unexpected beer. definitely on the sour spectrum but the botanicals and sweet aspect were different.

hazy pale and sparkling from a can. weird metallic nose. probably more like a shandy or soda drink, not SHV. different and unique yet still retains an almost shandy or berleiner attitude about it. some repulsive lurks in side but i can't find it, stays hidden throughout the session. Metallic nose keeps sticking up its fingers into my olfactory. I'll go with a 156 over 72 with this brew which has tonic water added. Very different. Not really sure if the majority of this is really beer. Stupid label BTW.

Aroma is very mild. I can really barely smell anything. Maybe it's the tonic water. Super light gold, lots of carbonation. Lots of floaties. This taste was a surprise. Different, and really pretty good. Mostly sweet with a touch of tart citrus on the side of the tongue. It's more like a hard cider than a beer, but it is tasty.

Taste: complex, semi sweet, dry tonic mouth-feel, Juniper and coriander spices in background. Lime and citrus with fermented fruit nose. Gold, mostly clear, delicate white head with ring of lace. Medium to med/lite body. unique, and kinda refreshing, super dry, lime.

wlajwl (7291) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - AUG 28, 2017
Aroma is lemon-lime, almost lemonade. The flavor is lemon-lime, fruit, mildly sweet in the middle and a tart/carbonated finish.

12floz bottle dated 07.01.2017 (BBD? BOD?), ~$1.75 unit cost, poured into a large snifter glass. Not very impressive looking; gold with floating particles and barely any head. The aroma is very much lemon-lime juice, and tastes like it was inspired by a gin cocktail - lime, botanical, and simple sugar finish. An interesting beer on the sweet side.
