A gentle mixture of elegance and redolence for any occasion.
Northern Michigan spiced wheat ale. A 50% mixture of premium two-row malted barley and malted white wheat makes golden wheat ale balanced with Ahtanum and Cascade hop varieties. This ale is spiced with fresh grated lemon and orange rind, coriander, and black peppercorns. It’s truly a fermented wonder of the Short’s Brew formula family.

Very hazy orange pour with quite a bit of foamy white head. Hop filled orange nose. Lots of flavour. Lots! Really nicely balanced. It all works really well together. Citrus, coriander and a bit of bite.

Okay here’s a quick short review of this beer. It poor’s a light straw color with a half finger of head, pretty good lacing, smells of orange and lemon and mild peppercorn. Taste of coriander with mild pepper corn to front and stronger pepper corn to back. The after taste is all peppercorn. The peppercorn is definitely the work horse in this beer. The mouth feel is medium with decent carbonation. It is also HOT. This beer over all I think is going to be a love it or hate it kind of beer for most people. Let’s just say I love it!

Bottle from Drake’s Party Center. Pours orange with a white head. Leaves some lacing. Not much on the nose. There’s a bit of black pepper vibe on the tongue but it’s faint. Finished clean. Kind of dull.

From bottle. Mild wheat and citrus notes but overshadowed by fresh ground peppercorns. Slight haze, golden amber body with thin white head. Medium body with medium-high carbonation. Starts moderately sweet with orange, citrus zest, coriander, and lots of peppercorn. Orange rinds and orange-aid flavors. Bitter hop and peppery finish with lingering bitter after.

Clear golden pour with not much of a head. Aroma of pepper and a little tart fruit. Light mouth. Taste is spicy and full of pepper. Slight burn from the pepper. A little wheat. Very strange beer.

Tastes like licking a black pepper shaker bleck. Water and hay on the back end. Not Julie beer. She gives .5. Andy isn't impressed drinking black pepper ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz bottle, from organic market in Traverse City/MI (retrieved from 08/2013 Midwest jpg backlog). Gently spiced to the point of Radler-ish blandness, an organic Radler without any real lemonade, but the slightly artificial sensation of overfruitiness. Wheat malt base has a wit quality to it, black pepper blends in harmoniously. Drinkable light experiment.

Patrickctenchi (6624) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - AUG 11, 2014
Bottle: Clear gold with a short head. Aroma is lemony, orange, orange-peel. Taste is fruit, citrus.....a gradual rise in spiciness...Finishes with a nice peppery note.

czar (9171) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 8, 2014
pours slightly hazy very pale yellow with a small white cap, some retention and lacing. freshly cracked black pepper, fresh lemon and orange skin, although faint fruitiness from malt bill, white wine, bitter herbs - well integrated and not quite discernable coriander, citrus, fresh lean wheaty notes, clean yeast, no off notes. moderately low carbonation, light body - slightly watery, dry crisp bitter herbal-spicy-lightly tingling and warmth finish. not really complex - flowery-zesty citrus, wheat, black pepper. but for sure enjoyed!

BOSSbrewer (2705) - Arkansas, USA - AUG 2, 2014
