jcr (2825) - Jasper, Indiana, USA - SEP 2, 2016Bottle. Hazy yellow body with a fizzy head. Aroma of straw, toasted grain. Hints of spice, lemon and corn. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/sticky texture, lively carbonation. Less than crisp finish, but fairly clean malts. Other than that, dull.
umich03jm (3512) - Flat Rock, Michigan, USA - AUG 28, 2016Bottle. Aroma is wet grass, sweet frackers and mild skunk. Tastes mildly sweet. Great cracker malt with grass and mild herbs. Crisp and solid.
rumproasts (6053) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - JUN 25, 2016bottle. Golden with one finger head. Light body with a medium sweetness that doesn’t quite fit the style. Hops are floral, but quite understated. They don’t seem quite like noble hops to me. I’m guessing this would get slaughtered if you were judging on strict BJCP criteria, but I actually really enjoyed it. Unique and tasty.

superspak (6654) - Waterford, Michigan, USA - MAY 19, 201612 ounce bottle into lager glass, bottled on 3/27/2016. Pours slightly hazy pale straw color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of lemon, cracker, corn, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of pale malt and light-mkoderate earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon cracker, corn, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of cracker, corn, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness and balance of pale malt and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from bitterness as well. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately grainy/creamy, and slightly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Very clean on lager flavors with minimal yeast notes present. Zero alcohol warmth as expected of 4.9%. Overall this is a very good classic American pilsner style. All around good robustness and balance of pale malt and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; and very smooth, clean, and refreshing to drink. A very enjoyable offering.
Pailhead (6540) - Rochester Hills, Michigan, USA - APR 28, 2016Bottle: The aroma consists of light-moderate corn, cereal notes, grass, and a touch of lemon peel. It pours a transparent dull gold with a one finger soapy white head that fades to a thin film outlined by a thick ring. There is some sporadic thin webbing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with mild corn with a hint of cereal/grain notes. The finish has light-moderate grass, lighter florals, and a touch of lemon peel. It’s light bodied with moderate carbonation. Overall, it’s a solid summer thirst quencher.
