Draft at the brewpub, Bellaire. Hazy medium to dark orange-brown, medium tight cream head. Cerealy, toasty nose with barbecue spice. Smoky body with wood chips and spicy barbecue notes; meaty, but in a manner that accentuates rather than dominates the toasty body. Leaves a nice subtle burn on the lips. Yeah, barbecue chips and beer, but minus the grease. Awesome. TheStuch (1) - Petoskey, Michigan, USA - SEP 4, 2013 does not count
A lively, dark red, sweet maple bbq flavor with a-little spicy kick at the end of your throat.Kind of like eating a hand full of BBQ flavored chips followed by a good brew. Very good! Pass the corn please. bpar73 (1129) - Bellaire, Michigan, USA - SEP 2, 2013
On tap at the brewpub. Dark reddish amber pour with a thin head. Smoke and spices in the taste and the aroma. Seems a bit odd at first, but really is a very good beer. paintedmaple (671) - People’s Republic of Bloomington, Indiana, USA - SEP 2, 2013
On tap at the Brewpub...a reddish brown pour with a thin off-white head this was the favorite pour of our group at a recent outing to Short’s. From the name...OMGWTFBBQ...I expected to be hit in the face with a smokey BBQ, however much more subtle flavors ruled and this was surprisingly easy drinking. Definitely had BBQ flavors of rich tomato and hints of oregano, garlic, and Worcestershire Sauce followed by some smoke. I guess its about time we had a BBQ beer!
