Fresh bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a white head that leaves behind significant lacing after a few sips. Aromas fruity hops and distinctive yeast; citrus, light tropical notes, not really sure how to describe the yeast aroma/flavor, but I taste it in Evil Urges and, to a lesser extent, Anniversary Ale, as well. Like what it adds a lot. Taste is of yeast and fruity hops. A moderate sweetness balanced by a medium to medium+ bitterness. Finishes bitter and lightly dry. My favorite Short’s DIPA. arminjewell (9689) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - APR 12, 2015
Pour on tap, hazy golden-orange pour with white head, aroma brought big orange peel, tropical fruit, tangerine, grapefruit, pine and resinous notes into a bit of slight caramel, toffee. Taste was a mix of tropical fruit, pineapple, tangerine, orange, some grapefruit into a bitter pine note, hints of caramel, finishing bitter. Nicely done. joeneugs (6371) - Livermore, California, USA - JAN 24, 2015
12 oz. bottle. Bottled 10/14/14.Thanks Brandon! It pours a very hazy orange color with a very small but dense off white head that disappears quickly. The aroma is lightly caramel up front with lots of grassy, piney hops and a good dose of sweeter tropical fruit. A bit too much toffee, but it could be the age… The flavor is nice with more grass, spice, pine, guava and tangerine with strong piney bitterness. I’m not getting much toffee in the flavor which is good. There is some caramel, but it’s secondary to the big hops going on here. Pretty clean for a Belgian yeast too with no phenols or banana esters, just a subtle spiciness that complements the beer pretty well. It’s pretty sweet up front, but the bitterness balances it out somewhat in the finish. Overall, this was pretty enjoyable. I wonder if it was more potent fresh. Bottle from my Secret Santa, many thanks Brandon. Unclear orange color with thick white head. Strong citrus hoppy aroma with grapefruits, oranges, tangerines, pineapples, honey. Strong hoppy taste with grapefruits, mango, guava, tangerines, pines, Belgian yeast. Solid malty backbone. Long hoppy bitter finish. Tasty. jbrana (640) - NASHVILLE, Tennessee, USA - DEC 23, 2014
Nice peppery and bubblegum flavor with bright citrus and pine hop flavors. Moderately sweet. Very good and quite unique.

This is one of Shorts finest brews. The aroma is very pleasant and sweet. Taste of passion fruit and Belgium yeast comes out. Very good good DIPA but may not satisfy big hopheads.

Bottle. Pours amber. Small white head. Big aroma of sweet grapefruit. Flavor is a mix of sweet citrus. Big palate. Lots of stickiness. Lots of sweet, but also plenty of the hop bitterness. Very good, but maybe a bit too in your face. paintedmaple (671) - People’s Republic of Bloomington, Indiana, USA - DEC 7, 2014
12oz bottle...pours a light orange with a smallish white head. Fantastic aroma of tropical fruit and flowers. The taste is even better with a bittersweet pine coming to the fore. Finished bitter and clean...very refreshing for a big beer. Outstanding. bwa5879 (949) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - DEC 1, 2014
Really cloudy reddish light brown, whispy white suds a thin layer on top. Very strong graprfruit citrus aroma, deep down some belgian yeast, slightly soapy, more banana and some passion fruit, melon. Soft carbonation, thick and oily mouthfeel, crisp finish. Really great flavors, very evenly blended: strong grapefruit citrus and guava, nutty malt, belgian yeast that’s peppery, lemony, and a bit soapy. One of the best shorts brews I’ve had. flatmatt (1593) - Northville, Michigan, USA - NOV 29, 2014
12 oz bottle. Pours a completely hazed amber golden with an off-white head. Yeasty aroma of bubble gum meets some citrusy hop aroma. Similar flavor, with yeastiness leading into citrusy floral hops. Not bad.
