Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster is a Double Belgian IPA brewed exclusively with Galaxy hops. The nose is an impressive blend of citrus aromas reminiscent of guava and lemons. It also has subtle Belgian yeast esters. An intense, clean bitterness dominates the flavor profile, with little malt character to compete with. A fruity yeast sweetness is noticeable in the finish, alongside a resounding bitterness.

Bottle… Pours hazy and peach-colored with a small, fizzy, white head. Decent retention. The aroma offers a mélange of citrus and tropical fruits and peels flanked by whispers of both pine and phenolic, farmhouse spiciness. Full-bodied with a lightly oily mouthfeel and adequate carbonation. The flavor furnishes a boatload of citrus rind and pith bitterness. Heaps of it. Finishes crisp and bitter… b-i-t-t-e-r! Bottle courtesy of landhoney!

Bottle from trade, thanks Jason! Pours orange gold with a clingy white head. Aroma of orage, tangerine. Slight caramel to the malt sweetness and bitter orange peel hop. A bit of tangerine sweetness. I wish I could give this a 4.2, but it’s not quite that good.

Bottle compliments of Ned, pours hazy orange with small slow white head. Notes are cream sickle, tangerine, orange sHerbert, malt, and cream. Really interesting brew from shorts. Lots of bitter hops, tastes like the southern tiers from 08-09. Thit.

Bottle: Pours hazy amber, small off-white head. Pine/grapefruit peel aromas...semi tropical. Taste is pineapple, grapefruit, sweet orange/tangerine. Almost a slightly cooling menthol edge to it. A very good Double. I wanted to make some cryptic Hitchhiker’s Guide remark, but Shrubber85 beat me to it....Oh Belgium!!!!!

Bottle. Tangerine/lemon malt and grapefruit peel/pine aroma. Hazy golden yellow with small head. Sweet tangerine malt and strongly bitter grapefruit peel/pine flavor. Very tasty - not quite "the effect of having your brains smashed out with a slice of lemon wrapped round a large gold brick" but still nice.

UPDATED: SEP 16, 2016 Bottle thanks to Kyle! Pours a hazy deep peach with a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has lots of tangerine with hints of peach, passion fruit and a bit of resin. Flavor has more bitter tangerine with a hint of bread and light fruits.

Ataraxia (525) - California, USA - DEC 27, 2013
Slightly hazy golden peach color, moderate white head. Unfortunately, the strong spicy aroma of black pepper, hay, and musty barnyard dominates the mild fruity hop elements. Some spruce bitterness in the taste. Lively and smooth, with a residual bitterness in the finish and little alcohol presence. Waste of Galaxy hops, if a musty spicy Belgian yeast strain is used.

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle, huge thanks to Clownoisseur. The aroma is Belgian yeast driven, strong spicy yeast note followed by some melon, tropical fruits, resin. The flavor shows off the galaxy hops, tropical fruits, passion fruit, the Belgian yeast character is spicy/phenolic. Not a bad beer.

Bottle courtesy of BMMillsy. Earthy/musty orange hops, pineapple, caramel malt, and light Belgian yeast aroma. Hazy orange amber with a moderate ivory head, nice lacing. Resinous piney herbal hops, orange peel and pith, onion, and light yeasty biscuity malt flavor. Medium body, moderate carbonation.
