COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pineapple Pilsner is a refreshing American Pilsner with an exotic twist. Subtle esters of grain and hints of sweet citrus fruit collide with a mouth puckering pineapple flavor. The slight essence of malt and corn produce a relatively clean mouthfeel and a lingering tart finish.

12 ounce bottle into lager glass, bottled on 7/25/2017. Pours fairly hazy golden orange color with a small dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big juicy/lightly tart pineapples, lemon, orange, grapefruit, citrus zest, cracker, corn, biscuit, light pepper, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance of pineapples, citrus/earthy hops, and pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big juicy/lightly tart pineapples, lemon, orange, grapefruit, citrus zest, cracker, corn, biscuit, light pepper, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light herbal/grassy/spicy bitterness and fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of juicy/lightly tart pineapples, lemon, orange, grapefruit, citrus zest, cracker, corn, biscuit, light pepper, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great robustness and balance of pineapples, citrus/earthy hops, and pale malt flavors; with a great malt/bitter/tartness balance, and zero astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from bitter/tartness. Clean finishing. Perfectly clean on lager flavors, with zero yeast notes present. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, bready/grainy, and lightly acidic/sticky mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5%. Overall this is an excellent fruited Czech pilsner style! All around great robustness and balance of pineapples, citrus/earthy hops, and pale malt flavors; very smooth, clean, and refreshing to drink; with the mildly tart/bitter finish. Very flavorful for the ABV. Perfectly balanced between all flavors. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.

12 oz bottle. Pours a fairly hazy golden amber with a bubbly white head. Sweet honey pineapple and biscuit aroma. Flavor is pretty muddled and unclear, I suppose mostly pineapple in an off-putting mix with the hops. Not enjoyable for me.

SpongeRuiner (1114) - Michigan, USA - JUL 12, 2014
On tap at the Shorts Anniversary. This one took me somewhat by surprise as I really enjoyed it. It has a nice tropical aroma. Mainly pineapple citrus and fruit skins. The flavor is very refreshing and quenching. A lot of pineapple flavors as most pineapple beers that ive had seem mild to me. A slight hop background that gives it a nice balance. Concluding with a nice tart dry finish. I wish they would bottle this one.

tap. Golden with small head. Lightly tart with some pineapple sweetness. Pilsner with very slight hop bite. If nothing else, this is very unique and interesting. Pleasant enough, I’d have it again.

Tap: golden body, decent clarity with a bone-white head that shrivels down to a ring pretty quickly. Aroma is mild pineapple along with some citric, slightly dank hops. Light grassy, onion, & hop oil notes in the back-end. Taste is very light & crisp with another dose of mild pineapple & tropical fruit, though things switch more to the citric side during the latter half. Leafy & slightly dank finish with some dying citric fruits & grassy notes. Highly drinkable stuff, nice little pineapple touch. I really dig it.

On tap at the brewpub. Pale yellow pour with a white head. Hints of pineapple citrus make this an interesting combination of flavors and aroma. A good drinkable brew,

I really didn’t get the fruit much out of this one. Since I know its pineapple I can almost pick up that sweetness but it mainly has a crisp bitterness. A light grain flavor and lingers on the bitter side a bit.

On tap at Sunset for their Shorts event prior to EBF. Pours a clear gold with a thin white head. Light pineapple, grain and crackers. Sweet, but not really cloying. Close though. Crackers, bitter and grainy, toasty finish.

Fairly drinkable little beer, nice light pineapple in the nose and on the palate. Cool and drinkable. Wouldn’t be bad on a hot Florida day.

Draft sample. Poured clear golden color with medium frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Medium balanced aroma. Light to medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium fruit and bitter flavor with a light to medium bitter finish of moderate duration. Not my style brew.
