Keg at the brewpub. Slightly hazy golden, large creamy white head, good retention. Aroma of toasted malt, corn, nuts, grain. Taste is pistachio, corn, pale malt. Medium bodied. Solid. j12601 (12973) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - MAR 17, 2011
On tap at Sunset for their Shorts event prior to EBF. Pours a hazed gold. Sweet ice cream and pistachio pudding aromas. Smells pretty much just like a packet of Jello instant pistachio pudding powder. I wonder if they used the same flavorings in this. Toasty, sweet pudding. Sweet and nutty. Quite tasty. deyholla (11900) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - APR 10, 2010
Old rating from notes. Tap. Poured poured a hazy yellowish brown with a tan head that had a slight yellow hue. Aroma was sweet with notes of nuts, bread and cereal. Flavor was similar with a creamy nut flavor that definitely had notes of pistachio and sweet cereal notes. Strykzone (7482) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - SEP 24, 2015
Sampled at gabf. A huge head. Big pistacvio nose but lesser flavor. Nut that are generic. Some spices. Decent.

A Sim rate (Extreme Beer Festival): Very nutty aroma - as you’d expect. Sweet and a bit savoury too! Flavour is so pistachio that it’s slightly unpleasant. Bit bizarre and not particularly enjoyable but interesting to try. tom10101 (6194) - Quebec, CANADA - APR 5, 2015
Sample @ EBF.

Appearance: Slightly hazy golden with a small white head and little lacing.
Aroma: Not super expressive. Pistachios forward with caramel and not much else.
Taste: A tad sweet. Nuts, malt and hints of cardboard.
Palate: Medium body. Medium carbonation. Lingering nutty aftertaste.
Overall: A small sample at EBF is definitely not the best way to judge this beer, but for me the pistachio is too present and hide the base beer, which is definitely not expressive enough to shine by itself.
Sample at EBF. Hazy gold pour, almost no head. Aroma is really malty, light corn, light pistachio aroma, fairly nutty. Taste is sweet, lots of residual nutty/malty sweetness. Palate is med bodied with light carbonation. Decent. rumproasts (5470) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - MAR 5, 2014
tap. Pale straw with small head. Very light body with some mild pistachio. Very smooth and delicious. This was one of my favorites from my visit to the brewpub.

Reviewed from notes.
Pours a moderate golden color with a bit of a brownish tint. Off-white head falls quickly with a few spots of lacing. The nose brings forward quite a bit of pistachio and the cream doesn’t enhance the brew – it has too much of a diacetyl component to it, which is quite unfortunate. Some moderate cream in the flavor along with buttery toffee. The butter works a bit with the nutty notes, though everything is still a bit of a contrast. Medium creamy body with average carbonation. Very strange brew.
