Bottle. Pours hazy copper with a thin off-white head. Aroma of sweet malt, caramel and honey. Sweet malt and honey flavor with a dank finish. Damico (3150) - Royersford, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 7, 2016
Pours unclear thick anger with a light beige head. Aroma brings some nutty sweet amber malts. The flavor brings some honeycomb and nutty notes as well, not sweet but with oat flavors on the backend. I remember the first bottle being sweeter. rumproasts (6035) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - JAN 2, 2016
bottle. deep amber with small head. sweet honey, caramel and brown sugar. low booze. mild hops in the finish. interesting and a bit unique. blackflag321 (701) - Lansing, Michigan, USA - DEC 12, 2015
Bottle poured to shaker. Murky, orange/amber. I’m not a fan of amber ales, but the "imperial" tag always tempts me. And I’m rarely disappointed by Short’s. This is another good one. Honey gives a sweet hint, but not too much. A little bitterness. Not boozy. superspak (6000) - Waterford, Michigan, USA - DEC 8, 2015
12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 11/6/2015. Pours hazy deep orange/amber color with a 1-2 finger dense light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big melon, orange, apple, honey, caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness, herbal, floral, and toasted earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/bready malt, honey, and fruity/earthy hop flavors; with good strength. Taste of big melon, orange, apple, honey, caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness, herbal, floral, and toasted earthiness. Light herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of melon, orange, apple, honey, caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness, and herbal/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready malt, honey, and fruity/earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth and moderately creamy/bready/silky mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a light warmth lingering after the finish. Overall this is an excellent imperial amber ale style. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready malt, honey, and fruity/earthy hop flavors; and very smooth to sip on for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering.

Bottle. Aroma is loads of honey and sugary malt, some caramel, toffee and melon too. Tastes honey sweetened cereal with apples, brown sugar, caramel and dirt. Odd flavors thrown together. Decent. arminjewell (9720) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - NOV 29, 2015
Pour on tap at Crunchy’s clear dark orange pour with white head, aroma brought notes of caramel, toffee, grass, hints of earth, some slight orange, pine, grass into a bit of spice. Taste was a mix of grass, orange, grapefruit into sweet caramel, honey, biscuity notes with a touch of earth, finishing fairly sweet, slightly bitter. ICEatALAMO (1353) - Troy, Michigan, USA - NOV 20, 2015
Bottle. The pour is an orange amber, with vibrancy and murkiness all at the same time. The aroma is subtle bitter hops. The taste goes through an extensive flavor profile very quickly. At first it was all hops and too bitter, then the honey hits and smooths it out very nicely, with some notes of fruits as well. mikem409 (2029) - bloomfield, Michigan, USA - NOV 19, 2015
Bottle. Murky copper color nice white top. Malty aroma and honey with a nice and sweet almost iced tea flavor.
