Bottle conditioned - pour slowly to prevent the cloudiness. Clear medium gold color, lively carbonation and thick head of fluffy white foam. Clumpy lacing. Mild malt and a little grassy hop character in the aroma. First sip was much more hops than anticipated - masking the malt. Subsequent sips still have a citrus and flowery pungency with a mellow pilsner malt character well behind. Smooth body with long citrusy and ever so slightly spicy hop aftertaste. Bottle #714 of 1000 purchased Aug ’07 in Rochester Hills.
UPDATED: JUL 30, 2017 I mean it is cool to have a pilsner that's basically set it's flavors to 11. That being said, I'm not really that into it. The hoppy dryness is actually a little bit out of sorts with me. Probably won't seek out again, but it is kind of a fun novelty. Drake (14078) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 21, 2017
12 ounce bottle from the brewpub. Slightly hazy yellow, large foamy white head, good retention. Aroma of strong grassy hops, some onion. Pale malt. The taste is oniony, grassy hops, sweet pale malts (I guess that explains the corn). Medium bodied, moderate lingering bitterness. Nice! Msdrbeat (785) - East Lansing, USA - MAY 1, 2017
On tap at Spare Time. Thick head. Not overly boozy but lots of flavor. Would drink again.

Aroma is bready, grainy, corn, earthy hops, good. Appearance is golden golden amber, slightly hazy, white head. Taste is earthy hops, corn, bready, grainy, slightly slightly metallic. Mouthfeel is light to medium body, light crisp carbonation, grainy earthy hop aftertaste. Overall, pretty solid imperial pils. boozedude (2229) - Des Moines, Iowa, USA - APR 30, 2015

Bottle. Slightly hazy light gold in color with a medium white head. I don’t get much for aroma, just slight floral, yeast, and bread notes. Thin body and medium carbonation. A funky sweet, bready taste up front balanced by a crisp bit of citrus and short-lived bitterness. Interesting and enjoyable. johnnnniee (4411) - Bedford, New Hampshire, USA - JAN 9, 2015
Tasted and smelled vastly different when first opened, had an almost Belgianesque yeasty feel to it. I let it sit for a while and it really opened up, or the bad stuff dissipated. Big sweet light sugary maltiness with a fair amount of higher alcohols. Grassy earthy pine sol hops. Not a fan, but better the longer it sits. chucklemation (1759) - Royal Oak, Michigan, USA - JAN 6, 2015
Pours a golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is bread and grass, with some fruit. Flavor is sweet bread, some grass and earthiness, and a touch of fruit. Has a thick body feel. Decent. deyholla (12189) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - DEC 29, 2014
Bottle. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has lots of straw and hay with a bit of grain and earthiness underlying. Flavor has lots of bread and straw with a hint of grass in the finish.
