COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed in conjuction with the Kalamazoo Beer Exchange to celebrate their one year anniversay, this beer is modeled after a traditional German Dunkel beer, this chestnut brown lager contains heavy aromas of sweet soda and sarsaparilla. Caramel malt and vanilla provide the perfect sugary base for the unmistakable flavor of sarsaparilla, while Bavarian lager yeast allows for a crisp and refreshing finish.

Growler courtesy of hopscotch. Clear brown pour. The nose is pure root beer. It’s a little blah, with bland malt, sarsaparilla, and vanilla notes..

Draft at the Kalamazoo Beer Exchange. Pours a cloudy brown. Small white head. Minimal lacing. Strong aroma of sarasparilla. Flavor of the same. Very unique beer. Feels like you are drinking a soda. Not something I’d want to drink every day, but definitely a nice experimental brew.

Growler... Murky prune-colored lager with a mid-sized, foamy, off-white head. Smells like cream soda with a small splash of sassafras tea or root beer. Medium-bodied with lively carbonation. The flavor is a reflection of the nose - a luscious, sweet, yummy marriage of cream soda and root beer. Finishes crisp and moderately sweet with a nice root-candy nuance. Thanks goes out to StFun for shipping this growler my way!
