Tap @ HopCat for RBSG’10 - citrusy and light. Creamy caramel, piney. Crackery malts, and hoppy aftertones. Finishes dry piney and astringent. TheAlum (7164) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - JUL 27, 2010
Sampler on tap at HopCat (Grand Rapids, MI). Pours a nice mellow straw pour, decent haze, small whitish head dies to a tiny film. Laces minimally. Aromas are lightly floral and grapefruit, pale malts and bread mix with a touch of biscuit. Initial is clean, lightly citrus and floral hops mix with pale malts, a touch of soap and pine but a really nice sessionable pale ale, not as Impressive as say Hangin’ Frank, but considerably different preaching a lighter malt body but perhaps more noticeable with lighter more lemon and grassy hops, earthiness over "Big Hops". Then again, as a Pale lager it jumps with good flavors and shouldn’t need to be compared to an APA. drewbeerme (3920) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUL 22, 2010
