Pub-only.
Wit Happens is a Belgian White beer brewed with coriander, grains of paradise, and orange peel. Delicate aromas of sweet citrus and bready malt rise from this hazy pale yellow ale. Although perceivably low on the nose, the spicy contributions from the Belgian yeast come through instantly upon first taste, offering pleasant clove complements to the additional peppery flavors. Followed by a soft banana-like sweetness and a mildly pleasant tang, the finish is relatively clean marked by a slight spiciness and a touch of bitterness.

Cask, at the brewpub, Bellaire, MI. Cloudy rose. Predominantly wit yeast aroma. Mild milkiness, some faint berry with a mild finish.

Sampled from bottle thanks to Benzai. Smells a little unpleasant and somewhat sour to me. Taste isn’t a lot better than that. Overall, just a very uninspiring beer.

Bottle @ weekly tasting shared with Thompson, Niilstrong and Bobson. Clear yellow golden color, average sized white to off-white head. Smell and taste wheat, some herbs or spices, wort, sweet. Don’t like it at all, what was intended here?

Tap: Mostly clear straw-yellow body with a foamy & slick, stark-white head on top. Strange amount of clarity for a witbier. Nose is heavily Belgian yeast with lots of edgy spices & some fruity sweet esters. Soft grain, wheat, clove, coriander, orange zest, banana, pear, maybe a hint of melon, baked bread, light peppercorn, mint. Big mouthful of yeasty spice up front; lots of banana & pineapple, mild vegetal & "green" hop undertones. Lightly musty & herbal with a hint of bitterness. Back-end of clove, white pepper, citrus peel, lemon zest, wheat, & some semi-sweet gumminess. Lofty body, yet still comes off as "chunky" given the low ABV. Actually pretty nice for the style, seems I enjoyed this one more than most.

Bottle, bought @YNWA Beershop, Kolding. Pours murky yellow with a small, staying, creamy white head. Aroma has sweet wheat, lemon, some slight tartness, mild wet dog. Medium carbonation, fine dry and fairly light mouthfeel, light grainy. Flavour is mild, clear sweet wheat, lemongrass, herbal, light mustard notes. Quite herbal bitter finish.

ogivlado (7955) - Zagreb, CROATIA - FEB 17, 2015
Bottled 355ml. -from Svijet Piva Zagreb. Marko’s bottle shared with Yves, Fran and me. Cloudy yellow coloured, minimal white head, mild orange in the nose. Sweet malty, fruity, light spicy and citrusy with notes of coriander in the finish. Pretty thin overall, expected better from the brewery.
