FatPhil (16914) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - MAR 20, 2017
Draught (Rose & Crown, Oxford)
Reddish, small loose head. Sweet fruity estery aroma. Palate flattish, smooth and a little sweet, carbonation low. Some pungent resiny hops dominate the taste. Malts survive longest in the finish.

Vignale (3964) - Malmö, SWEDEN - JUN 20, 2016
Bottle in Shotover at our friends house 20 m from the brewery. A rich, malty and slightly sweet bitter with ESB-qualities at 4.5% impresses. The taste is rich and fairly complex with sweet tones of honey and dried fruit, bread, earthy hops, wood, yeast and mixed nuts. Very british and perfect after a long walk on the hills behind the brewery.

kindacold (235) - Norfolk, Virginia, USA - APR 25, 2015
Much better than many other local cask ales I’ve tried. Nice bitterness, but more full-flavored than the norm.

Marstonlad (940) - Helsinki, FINLAND - MAY 30, 2014
Cask at the Bear, Oxford. A color of dark amber with a medium-sized head. Aroma has plenty of floral notes and fruitiness, very hoppy in a British way. Taste, on the other hand, seems to be a bit more on the malty side. Caramel and bread provide the bulk of the initial taste with hoppiness building toward a classic dry and bitter finish. Light to medium bodied, slick palate. Very tasty and well balanced bitter.

Amber pour, malty aroma. Nice taste of sweet malt with a hops touch. Very nice to drink

Oakes (18543) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 14, 2014
Golden-amber, a little hazy, a very fruity beer with abundant orchard fruit yeast character. Subtle sweet malts.

Beesbeer (452) - WALES - FEB 20, 2013
A very enjoyable straightforward honest bitter. Medium bodied. Medium carbonation. High on hops and a bitter ending that quickly gives way to citrus sweetness which lasts in the mouth.

AWS9 (736) - Mississauga, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 22, 2013
Cask. Solid ruby brown colour, with lasting white head. Fruity nose, with nice hop/malt mix. Pronounced hop hit to go along with the typical smooth finish of a bitter. Plenty of earthy character as well. Great stuff.

Nuffield (4189) - Roseville, Minnesota, USA - JUL 19, 2012
Rich head, dark red/brown color. Smooth, good body, moderate metallic bitterness, buttery caramel, earthy, a little wood chip. Aroma: a little metal, a little body odor. A spanking beer. (cask at the Rose and Crown, Oxford, June 2012)

maeib (8751) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - OCT 26, 2011
Bottled. A hazy brown coloured beer (with the yeast poured in) with an off-white coloured head. A yeasty aroma with a candy sugar note to it. Quite bitter at first but then transgresses to a semi-sweet yeasty beer. Pretty decent.
