1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
Bottle. Golden with a large white head. Aromas are lager shandy with lime. Grain with rum barrel. Flavours are sweet lemonade with grain and rum flavouring. Some sugar. Bitter on the finish. Fairly boozy. Not a favourite.
Bottle from B&M Bargains, Halifax. Tawny golden coloured with a small carbonation and a very thin head. The rum influence makes it a very sweet beer. Slightly skunky aroma and taste, but it is in a clear glass bottle so this may account for that. MonsterMagnet (1565) - NETHERLANDS - JUN 20, 2015
Bottle, didn’t take proper tasting notes, but that doesn’t really matter. Extreme ly sweet lager/soda hybrid with artificial rum flavouring. Beelzebrox (47) - Enschede, NETHERLANDS - JUN 12, 2015
Orange color. Low carbonation, very very sweet. Smells like artificial lemonade, taste somewhat like pilsener with orange lemonade, no bitter or sour to compensate. Maybe drinkable with lots of ice, should not be treated as beer. Not even refreshing because its way too sweet. Kinda gross. R2k2 (461) - NETHERLANDS - FEB 1, 2015
Licht oranje gekleurd, iets troebel bier met een schuimige kraag. Het aroma is mierzoet en chemisch. Hetzelfde geld voor de smaak. De mierzoete smaak blijft nog lang hangen.
Slightly orange colored, a bit cloudy beer with a fluffy layer of foam. The aroma’s are way to sweet and chemical. The same goes for the taste. The sweet taste hangs around for quite a while. Stuu666 (14806) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - DEC 18, 2014
Bottle at Craig’s. Smells like lemonade, hint of spice, sweet lemonade and lime aftertaste.

UPDATED: JUL 23, 2016 Now called Dead Crow Rum Flavoured Beer. One of those ’trendy’ but awful thin bland lagers ’pimped’ with liquor and sugar; yellowish white, regular but thin and very quickly dissolving head, colour orangey blonde (’old gold’), with quiet sparkling. Aroma very reminiscent of what in Flemish pub life is called ’baco’ (a cocktail of brown rhum with Coke), sticky sugary lemonade, a very, very faint graininess and something ’lightstruck’ (cat pee), strong and overpowering when opening the bottle but fortunately fading away quickly. Very sweet, cloying onset, very sugary and artificial, low carbonation, slick and thin mouthfeel, clear brown rum taste in the finish, but the sticky sweetness even dominates that; ’beer’, in the sense of malt and / or hops, is hardly noticeable at all and the rum extract has a slightly astringent effect. I believe this is even worse than Cubana ’59 or Desperados - and by establishing that, I cannot but conclude that this is effectively among the worst ’beers’ I have ever had the displeasure to taste. Truly horrible and to avoid at all times, unless you’re looking for an alternative to ’baco’ and do not like beer. Philym (1003) - St Neots, Cambridgeshire, ENGLAND - JUL 14, 2014
Appearance: Clear golden amber with finger thick white head.
Aroma: Fairy washing up liquid, citrus, syrup.
Taste: Medium sweetness, low bitter and sourness.
Palate: Thin slight coarse texture, light body, average carbonation, sweet lingering citrus, syrupy finish.
Comments: Ok. Rum? Will be amazed if any human senses can detect it! Mr_Pink_152 (5541) - Lincoln, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - JUL 8, 2014
UPDATED: SEP 5, 2014 330ml bottle from B&M. Not much to say about this one. Aroma of lemonade. Taste has citrus, couldn’t taste beer or rum. Dull. DeanF (2527) - Quebec, CANADA - APR 23, 2014
There seems to be a strong correlation between sweetened hybrid beer-drinks and tropical countries.... I wonder why is that? Someone must do a study! This has a pale golden body with minimal carbonation and almost no head. The aroma is hops bolstered by plenty of weird sugary sweetness, not suggesting rum, but rather beer-adjunct hell. The flavour is a weird bitters-taste of sweet leaves and hops. The rum and the hops are certainly not working well together! Like chewing on a lime with sugar wrapped in it. Where is the beer again? I wish I could say something for this other than absolutely revolting. DJoer (1291) - NETHERLANDS - FEB 19, 2014
From bottle, golden apple juice colour, malty sweet sugary, maple syrup hints some honey and a rum touch in the smell, medium carbonation almost no bitter sweet honey cinamon defineatly a mix like thr tequila flavoured ones... to sweet for me when i want a beer
