0.5l bottle brought from Sofia. Standard yellow lager with white-ish head. grass-corn metallic aroma, corny mild body. slight sour, bit more full body than most. not terrible crossovert (12934) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 31, 2012
Branded as Shumnsko Beer in the US.
360ml embossed bottle.
It pours a clear gold with a foamy white head.
The smell is sweeter and breadier than usual, slight grassy hops.
Flavor is typical EPL. I guess it has a bit more character than most. It has a mild soapiness, some mild bitterness, herbalness, a nice sweetness, and some fruity notes. Reminiscent of a czech pils melded with a polish lager. DSG (14784) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - MAY 20, 2012
Bottle sample at a tasting at Ariel’s place. Thanks eyes_wide_shut. As Shumensko Premium Beer. Clear golden. Grainy aroma with a bit of paper and faint hoppy hints. Sweetish grainy flavor with a slightly bitter finish. Light-bodied. fobar (241) - Søgne, NORWAY - AUG 20, 2011
500ml can. Pale golden body with a partly lasting white head. Aroma of hay, citrus and hints of perfume... Taste of malty hey. Medium bitter aftertaste. Far from bad but not even close to be remembered. stunetii (90) - Bergen, NORWAY, NORWAY - AUG 14, 2011
Bottle purchased in Stara Zagora at the end of July, 2011. Pours with a light golden color, culminating in a small-sized, but a reasonably well-retained head. Lacing is pretty weak, however. The aroma mildly sweet and grainy. The mouth feel is watery. Tastes mildly sweet, but the flavor is weak overall. It’s not a bad beer, but lacks much in the way of flavor.
