Tap at the holiday poolbar. Looks good. Beer starts mild, notes of lemon, a bit metallically. Mild hoppy-bitter background. Easy to drink. Better than exspected.

Bottle thanks to Dohny. Aroma light malty honeyish, very light hoppy. Clear golden colour. Taste is highly astringent, metallic, bad.

33oml bottle from my local East European shop. A shimmering pale gold beer. Soft, watery, bland malt of minimal character - some mineral quality perhaps. Noticable hop bite and finish, typical of East European lagers - though the malt is a little blander than normal.

Shumensko Premium Beer, 4.6%, huge thanks to Marin for bringing it from, humm, Sofia I guess. Shared with ogivlado and heavy. Poured a golden body with a small white head that went away fast. Light grainy, interesting sweet nose, ending dry. Weak notes of corn I guess. The taste is... humm, light yeastiness and some malt (dog food, eh). And that’s it. No real bitterness. Ah well, what could one expect from a mainstream Bulgarian lager...

Bamsen78 (5403) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - SEP 4, 2013
Can. Pours clear pale golden with quickly disappearing white head. Faint aroma of yeast, malt and skunk. Hardly any taste whatsoever, save maybe for some sparse, skunky and estery notes. Very watery and unutterably boring. I am glad to make it my first Bulgarian rating, but if this is representative of beer from that country, I am afraid it will not be soon before I venture another rating from there.

50cl (4,8% ABV.) as a gift. Pours clear pale yellow with a minimal, white head. Mild grainy aroma with hints of fruits, grass and cooked vegetables. Sweet and grainy with mild grainy flavours and hints of acidity and bitterness. Fairly standard industrial pale lager.

Beershine (5224) - VANCOUVER, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 12, 2011
Bottle, from Romanian-Bulgarian grocer in Paphos. Ugly gold with barely any head. Mild corny aroma. Cornflake sugars cloy on the tongue. Sweet-sour. Mildly unpleasant.
