Bottle. Kind of better than Zagora, but still has the certain Bulgarian beer style with that slightly unpleasant smell and a taste that lacks complexity. Decent, though.

360ml bottle. Drank straight from the bottle so cant comment on appearance. Aroma is grass and a little sweet malt. Actually decent taste. Or not terrible at least. Quite heavily carbonated. Not sweet and refreshing enough.

Lattina Shumensko 1882 ABV 4,8%.

Slightly skunky aroma. Overall watery taste with a hint of hops. Not horrible tasting, but not much going on here.

33oml bottle from my local East European shop. A shimmering pale gold beer. Soft, watery, bland malt of minimal character - some mineral quality perhaps. Noticable hop bite and finish, typical of East European lagers - though the malt is a little blander than normal.

Bottled (brought home by a friend, thanks Bertil!). Golden colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is hops, grass and some not-so-sweet-toffee. Flavour is rubber, sweet malts and some grassyness. Not much aftertaste.

My can actually brewed @ http://www.ratebeer.com/brewers/brewer name/2151/ Medium white head, fast gone over pale metallic golden beer. Grassy, grainy nose, vegetable, faintly rotting as well. Sweet, bit corn-like malts taste. Adjuncts quite possible, white sugar. Again +/- grassy. Slightly spritzy (compared to the Zagorka...), Very light body. Very late in the aftertaste, harsh metallic component. Bo-o-oring. Thanks to Stefaan for bringing them over!

Shumensko Premium Beer, 4.6%, huge thanks to Marin for bringing it from, humm, Sofia I guess. Shared with ogivlado and heavy. Poured a golden body with a small white head that went away fast. Light grainy, interesting sweet nose, ending dry. Weak notes of corn I guess. The taste is... humm, light yeastiness and some malt (dog food, eh). And thats it. No real bitterness. Ah well, what could one expect from a mainstream Bulgarian lager...
