bilcho1 (97) - Ruse, BULGARIA - SEP 17, 2017
Draft at Pri Dunav, Ruse. Clear deep amber with a thick creamy head that lasted. considerable lacing. Bread, hay and cereal aroma with hints of wood and vanilla. Good mouth feel, not too creamy, lively medium bitterness, well balanced. As is usual with Bulgarian lagers, draft is better than bottle. Canned Shumensko is now from Serbia, and I will review it only if I can bring myself to waste more money, as it is appalling. Overall, a nice medium-bodied draft lager.

vlada94 (224) - Nis, SERBIA - JUL 18, 2017
Clear yellow colour with thick white head, malty aroma, taste is malty, light, low bitterness and medium carbonation. Average lager

z87 (47) - Frydek-Mistek, CZECH REPUBLIC - APR 27, 2017
Velice podprůměrné pivo. Pokud je v Bulharsku nouze spíše bych se přiklonil k Pirinsku. Pivo očekávatelně prázdné, sladové. Mírný nádech kukuřice.

2.3

Can share at Cotteridge II as Shumensko. To be honest, I didn’t catch the rest of the name! Many thanks to Leighton for this. Pale yellow, still, small foamy white head, full lacing. Aroma is papery, corn, buttery. Body is smooth, soft carbonation. Taste is corny, soft sugary malt, light bitterness. A pretty plain pale lager. (2.1)

Clear yellow, white short lasting lacing foam head. Barley aroma and taste, typical for mass produced cheaper beer. (Bourgas 201604)
