Pours clear golden with a white head. Malty aroma with a hint of grass. Taste is mild and malty but the dryish touch of alkohol is slightly too strong. (0,5l can from a random supermarket on Moscow)

Clear dark yellow beer, small head which dissipate in a shot time, in nose several malt aromas are felt specially dough, caramel and honey. Then on palate is pleasant with a medium body and a balanced alcohol - taste level. Aftertaste with a good bitterness, and persistent flavor. Quite good after all.

Bottle - Oh yes, the "Sibirian Crown". How could you not like it? But to be honest, you wont miss anything if you can never grab one. Average lager.

500ml can. Pours gold with a small soapy white head. Aroma is rice, malt metal notes. Aroma and taste are similar to an Asian lager (as a previous rater pointed out), seems like one of the Japanese macros. Alcohol is pretty noticeable for a 5.3 percenter.

Siberian lager from Omsk, from a 50 cl bottle with all-Russian label. Snow white, crackling head consisting of tiny bubbles, leaving some lacing but slowly diminishing and opening, with only the edge remaining stable. Clear pale golden blonde colour with quite some fizz. Weak aroma of rice and perhaps corn, sourdough, iron, cheese, light bready maltiness and very faint grassy hops. Taste light sweetish, grainy with a sourish hint of rice, as in an Asian lager; somewhat oily mouthfeel with minerally, initially somewhat sharp carbonation; vague bready malts lie underneath. Finishes in a thin grassy hop bitterishness but a solvent-like chemical wryness shows up as well, fortunately in a very subtle form; otherwise minerally like spring water, with some of the grainy sweetishness lingering on as well, and Id swear I could detect some jenever-like alcohol touch too, very briefly and faintly. In all, just a little bit less bad than expected, but still below average and mediocre at best. Nevertheless interesting to taste a Siberian beer... Thanks to Sabine for bringing me the bottle all the way from Moscow.

Blond with fast disappearing head. Looking for aroma is wasted time. Body is light, texture thin. Overcarbonated. Nothing on palate. [email protected]
