2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle at brewery in Perm. Aroma is malty, not too interesting. Pilsener with a bite, strong taste but bit to much carbonated. Nice hop taste and bitter on the tongue. Good beer for thurst. (Perm 201301)
1.5L PET bottle. Murky amber colour. Small head. Aroma & taste: diacetyl, grains. Light-bodied. Bad. FoamHead (28) - - FEB 22, 2017
I was shocked to discover this was produced by the same company that makes god-awful Budweiser. I’m completely at a loss to understand why they don’t market this in the US, because—although it isn’t great—it is INFINITELY better than Budweiser. It is pretty much everything you want in a low-end lager. The alcohol level of 8.3% is surprising, too. It doesn’t taste boozy at all, and there is some actual texture and depth to the flavor, unlike the watery swill that this company is famous for. Considering this beer costs only about US 50 cents for half a liter in Russia, this is a bargain. The only downside is the high alcohol level, which will get you drunk faster than you probably want to. YantarCoast (1438) - Moscow, RUSSIA - JUL 1, 2015
500ml bottle. 4.9%. Pours clear gold with a small white head. Almost zero aroma, just some malt. Taste is grainy. Meh. A boring one. MrTipple (5539) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 2, 2015
Aroma: grain malts. Appearance: clear gold, medium, frothy, white head. Taste: light bitter. Palate: grain malts again, watery, lively carbonation. Overall: terribly boring Lager, nothing to remarkable. Draft at Cafe Pushkin, Moscow. GIJOE (1249) - North Berwick, Maine, USA - MAR 18, 2014
Bottle at the airport in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Russia. Nothing much to say about this one. It's beer. It's cold. It's not Budweiser. Smells a bit like graham crackers. Tastes sweet. Fairly thin and generally not remarkable.

Bottle. Thin, fizzy head is inconsequential, leading the beer to look flat after a short while. Bright gold color. Super bland aroma. Hardly anything there. Nothing bad, but it’s just like smelling starch. Thin but nice carbonation level. The malt sugars do come out in the flavors, and are pretty clean. But there is still not enough going on except for a hint of floral, like flower petals in water. Disappointing, especially given their witbier is nice. Hard to come by, Siberian Crown Pale has a golden colour. The aroma is grainy, slightly herbal hoppy aroma. Clean, basic lager that leans towards dryness. Finwe (438) - Grankulla, FINLAND - JUL 31, 2011
500 ml bottle from a kiosk in St. Petersburg. Pours clear golden with a white head. Malty aroma with a hint of hops. Malt in the flavour as well, along with some grain, caramel and hay. Surprisingly good for a Russian lager. mreusch (851) - Olathe, Kansas, USA - MAY 15, 2009
Bottle from local market in Vladivostok, Russia. Pours a golden color with a moderate white head. Aroma is pale malts, straw and light caramel. Flavor is more pale malts, light caramel and a hint of citrus hops. Quite drinkable.
