Arcanor (421) - Quebec, CANADA - JUN 6, 2017
On tap at the Montreal premise, nitro version.

pitch black with a dense creamy tan foam. The lacing is a bit too much liquid.
Aroma of light coffee and molase cookies.
Taste is malty, sweet and roasted malt.
Low body and low carbonation for the style. Almost a dry stout.
Medium finish of bitter light cold coffee.

Tap at the brewpub: Poured a black color stout with a nice light brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of dry roasted malt with some chocolate notes is quiet nice. Taste is also a nice mix of dry roasted malt with some chocolate flavours and light coffee notes. Body is a bit thin with good carbonation. Easily drinkable but maybe a tad thin for the style.

Trop simple.

tom10101 (6029) - Quebec, CANADA - DEC 18, 2014
On tap (taster) @ Siboire Jacques-Cartier.

Appearance: Dark amber/brown with a medium creamy beige head and little lacing.

Aroma: Roasted malt, fudge, marshmallow and light chocolate.

Taste: Fudge/chocolate, roasted malt, marshmallow notes, hints of caramel and light sweetness. Light metallic presence.

Palate: Medium body. Moderate carbonation. Silky mouthfeel. Moderately dry finish.

Overall: A well executed and well balanced oatmeal stout that is quite tasty while still being easily drinkable. Interesting fluffy + dry combination in the mouthfeel. Very good.

(23 janvier 2013)

On tap at brewpub. Thick, black with a nice, lingering head. Smells like sweet chocolate. Tastes very sweet, chocolatey. Cereals. Very subtle, nice bitter finish. Body is average. Awesome oatmeal stout!

Tap at the brewpub. Nice black pour with moccha head. Light aroma of roasted grain with hints of coffee and chocolate. Light, dry, roasted bitter taste. A beautiful palate, just perfectly creamy and still refreshingly dry in the finale. Well done pub stout.
