July 25, 2014 - at Bar Hop - on draught. Cloudy gold with a creamy white head. More of a saison aroma - yeasty, sweet, lightly spicy and fruity and a bit of lemon. Taste is saison/hefe - fruity and estery, but not the big hit of spicy yeast and alcohol I expect from a tripel - very sweet. Thick, airy, a bit grassy ... a little too simple; different yeast maybe? Hazy gold pour, medium, dense white head. Nice spicy aroma, some yeast, bubblegum. Taste follows, yeast, spice, a little bit of fruit. A real treat. mabel (10011) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 20, 2014
[6542-20140720] Tap. Candied marshmallow malt aroma. Slightly hazy, orange brown body with a medium-lasting creamy white head. Fruity malt flavour is boozy with a bit of pineapple tang in the finish. Medium-full body. Good. (7/3/7/3/14) 3.4

Great spicy aroma, fresh, plants. Cloudy amber with a tan head. Huge flavour, nice spice, nice dry hop finish, not too bitter, well balanced with a medium sparkling body. Great tripel!

On tap, foamy orange. Spicy, grassy and some floral hops mixed with kitchen spice, sage and esters. Spicy palate, bitter and leafy mixed with yeasty notes and leesy but not that big overall. Although it is the tastiest stuff I’ve had from this brewery. Freaky_tiki (1424) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 5, 2014
Pour at Toronto Session is cloudy goodness in a small beer fest glass. A surprising strong & authentic interpretation of the style. Yeast, candy, dark fruit. Will snatch this up if I ever see it off the festival circuit & in a bottle. pootzboy (1831) - Kitchener, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 3, 2014
A summer offering from this re-established craft brewer - Hat Trick is a Belgian triple abby-styled ale. The master brewer’s touch is evident here in the attention to detail, ingredients and process is evident in this offering. It’s obvious an esoteric strain of Belgian yeast was used along with uncommon malts. For a high gravity ale this one is fully finished, no sharp edges, flavorful and smooth as silk in delivery. Very aromatic with abundant fruit and floral notes, lightly complex in flavor with apricot-biscuity-earthy tones amalgamating with the spicy, bright hop selection – clean dry finish with not a hint of the 8.5% alcohol present – deceptively delicious with a rich satiny mouth feel. On tap this was a deeply rewarding when paired up with the local trencherman’s cheese and cold cut platter. I hope side launch decides to make this again and possibly bottle it for cellaring. jercraigs (11166) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 1, 2014
2014-07-20. Lightly hazy dark amber body with a small creamy beige head and nice lace. 3+ Aroma is malty and yeasty, fruity biscuity malt, dry toasty notes and mild floral hops. Flavour is similar, sweet yeasty malt up front, dry bitter finish lingers with grassy hop character, moderate alcohol. Smooth average plus bodied palate, with soft but effervescent carbonation. On tap at Bar Hop, Toronto
