This beer has a lovely, tropical fruit aroma and a full, long flavour and mouthfeel that belies the 4.7 ABV. I didn’t look at the ABV until after I’d already poured, smelt and tasted the beer and I expected it to be around 7%! I would recommend this as a nice, full flacoured, but sessionable beer, if you like APAs, but want to drive home. StevieT (2039) - AUSTRALIA - DEC 6, 2014
From a bottle. Pours a cloudy light brown, thin head, floral aroma, well carbonated with a fresh hop hit and lingering bitterness. Good stuff. orange_3084 (127) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - NOV 19, 2014
Pours a slightly hazy amber colour with thin white head. Caramel malts on the nose, with grapefruit and mango hop aromas accompanying. High carbonation with thin body. Quite dry with a medium bitterness. Okay, but a little lacking in balance and defining features. mkel07 (6462) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - OCT 8, 2014
Bottle from Slow Beer May 2013. Well rounded beer this one and not a bad effort for this first brew. Honey amber colour with off white head. beerbandit79 (1) - - AUG 9, 2014 does not count
Nice little pale ale. The aroma was prob best aspect. Colour was a golden caramel, taste was a bit behind the aroma but a solid beer overall. At 4.7% a good session beer.

Bottled at Mrs Parmas, Melbourne, Victoria. Cloudy amber, rich head. Caramelly nose with minerals and spice. Mid sweet with light to medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Some grapefruit and crystal malt. Mild but growing bitterness. Bif (2364) - St. Charles, Missouri, USA - NOV 24, 2013
Pours a dark golden color with a fair head that fades to some lacing. Aroma of pine, citrus, fruity, with a bit it of caramel and grass. Taste of of some pine and citrus, with a mix of caramel and fruit sweetness and bit of grain. Nice bitterness and a clean finish. Fairly medium body, crisp, smooth and well balanced. Beer has a nice freshness throughout. Enjoyable beer that goes down easy. ShaneJ (902) - AUSTRALIA - AUG 23, 2013
Bottle from Slowbeer. "Brewed to Amaze" the label say, and it certainly did! Slightly hazy amber/orange, an amazing combination of aromas and flavours, but subtle and balanced at the same time. Peach, lemonade, rockmelon, pine, caramel, biscuity malt. Excellent! Lunkie (1964) - Glen Iris, AUSTRALIA - JUN 2, 2013
Spice hop fruit herbal malt aroma. Very complex. True amber colour great head and lacing. Herbal sweet fruit spice malt flavour. Smooth palate. Wonderful beer yummy.

The Amber and Cara malts give it a very neat bite. Its distinctive, partly because of the combination of malt and hops..
When I first tasted the beer it threw me. It’s not your usual boring pale ale.
At first I couldn’t work out if I liked it or not. It’s just different...
I came to realise that it’s actually a very decent beer.
The use of Cascade and particularly Amarillo hops make this brew a winner, with the latter complimenting the malts and providing it’s distinctive flavour.
This is a well crafted and thoughtful beer. As a beer lover I appreciate that and will treat myself again.
Lets hope the following batches turn out like this current run.
