on tap @ Sideswipe / Columbus OH --- Nearly clear light amber color, White rim head, thin strips of lace. Taste is malt that adds carbonation and White Beer style spices on the swallow. The tingling, spicy malt carries through a long finish. Not exactly a Saison, but very good none-the-less. JStax (6504) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - SEP 20, 2015
22 ounce bottle poured into a snifter. The beer is a hazy gold color with a white head of foam. Pretty good retention. The aroma has musty, earthy qualities with a bit of herbal and gingery notes. A hint at some esters, but mostly just an earthy sweetness comes across. Medium body and medium to high carbonation. Spritzy mouthfeel. Really a nice, more traditional saison. Sample at the tap room. Hazy bronze color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Strings of lacing. Aroma of fruit, yeast and malt. Medium-bodied with flavors of herbal yeast, fruit and toasty malt. The finish is fruity up front with a hops and yeast aftertaste. Decent overall. 22oz bottle, purchased to go from House Beer in Columbus (a neat little bar..) for $7. Hazy orange amber color. Pours with a very big, active off-white fizzy airy foamy sparse head. Bigger caramel malt flavor. Moderate to bigger sweet taste, lightly spicy. Caramel malt. Smooth, kind of soft, crisp, lighter carbonation. Slick finish. Sweet taste, kind of tangy. Some apricot fruitiness to it. Alright fruity malty sweet slick saison. JaBier (7973) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - JUN 22, 2014
Bottle shared by my brother. Hazy and chunky amber pour with a thick beige head. Aroma of Belgian esters, sweet malt and herbs. Sweet malt flavor with some funkiness and herbs before an estery finish.

22 ounce bottle, this one was a slow gusher so luckily I was able to get this poured before any spillage took place. Served in a Unibroue tulip, the beer pours a dark gold color with a couple inch frothy off-white head that took a while to settle down. There’s also a lot of lacing. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like peppery spice, pears, earthiness, bready/wheat malt, and some orange peel. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there’s the addition of some tart apples and hay/grassiness. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it’s a bit coating and is well carbonated. The soft carbonation helps make this smooth and easy to drink. It’s nice to see a local brewery make a good saison like this. I’ll be buying this one again! $6.99 a bottle. Bottle from Kenny Rd Market. Gold pour with big bright white head and strong retention. Aroma is earthy, spice, Belgian yeast. Tastes are bready, barnyard, yeast. Light spice in the finish. Straightforward - ok. freckles614 (3) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JAN 16, 2014 does not count
This beer pours a lovely golden yellow, with a light head. Little carbonation in this brew but a great earthy, yeasty breadlike aroma. It almost smells like sweet pastries. On the palate it is slighty sweet with these straw-like undertones. Overall I think it’s well balanced but lacking the overall body I wohl expect from a Saison.
